Abstract

The disclosed embodiments include systems and methods for providing customer service. The system may include one or more memory devices storing software instructions. The system may also include one or more processors configured to execute the software instructions to receive customer data and location data from a client device. The one or more processors may also execute the software instructions to identify a customer and a merchant based on the received data. The one or more processors may also execute the software instructions to determine an applicable customer service option based on at least the identified merchant and the identified customer, the customer service option including at least an option to activate a credit card secondary benefit, and transmit a notification to the client device, the notification including the customer service option when the identified customer is eligible for the determined customer service option.

Claims

1. A system for providing a customer service, comprising:

one or more memory devices storing software instructions; and

one or more processors configured to execute the software instructions to;

receive customer data and location data from a client device;

identify a customer associated with the client device based on the customer data;

identify a merchant associated with the location based on the location data;

determine an applicable customer service option based on at least the identified merchant and the identified customer, the customer service option including at least an option to activate a credit card secondary benefit; and

transmit a notification to the client device, the notification including the customer service option when the identified customer is eligible for the determined customer service option.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the one or more processors is further configured to execute software instructions to:

receive acceptance of the determined customer service option; and

initiate completion of a customer registration process to complete customer eligibility for the credit card secondary benefit.

3. The system of claim 2, wherein completing the customer registration process includes receiving eligibility information from the client device.

4. They system of claim 3, wherein the eligibility information includes at least one of a picture of a receipt or completed claim form.

5. The system of claim 1, wherein the one or more processors is further configured to execute software instructions to:

receive acceptance of the determined customer service option; and

activate the credit card secondary benefit.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein the credit card secondary benefit is insurance coverage from the merchant associated with at least one of a product or service purchased from the merchant.

7. The system of claim 6, wherein the credit card secondary benefit is rental car insurance.

8. The system of claim 1, wherein the one or more processors is further configured to execute software instructions to:

receive additional information from the client device, wherein the additional information includes one or more of product information, service information, or location information;

determine customer eligibility for the credit card secondary benefit based on the additional information; and

transmit a refined customer service option to the client device.

9. The system of claim 1, wherein the one or more processors is further configured to execute software instructions to:

determine a cost savings associated with use of the credit card secondary benefit; and

transmit the cost savings as part of the notification to the client device.

10. A method of providing a customer service, comprising:

receiving customer data and transaction data from a client device, the transaction data including information associated with a pending or completed transaction;

determining, by one or more processors, an applicable customer service option based on at least customer data and transaction data, the customer service option including at least an option for the customer to activate a customer service associated with the pending or completed transaction;

transmitting a notification to the client device, the notification including at least the customer service option;

receiving customer input from the client device in response to the notification indicating acceptance of the customer service option; and

providing the customer service based on the customer input.

11. The method of claim 10, wherein the customer service is a credit card secondary benefit.

12. The method of claim 11, wherein the credit card secondary benefit is insurance coverage for at least one of a product or service associated with the pending or completed transaction.

13. The method of claim 11, wherein the transaction data includes product information or service information associated with a product or service that the customer has already purchased or is considering purchasing.

14. The method of claim 13, wherein the credit card secondary benefit is a warranty agreement for the product or service.

15. The method of claim 11, wherein the pending or completed transaction includes a travel transaction and the credit card secondary benefit is related to a customer travel benefit.

16. The method of claim 10, wherein the customer travel benefit is one or more of trip cancellation insurance and lost-luggage protection.

17. A system for providing a customer service, comprising:

one or more memory devices storing software instructions;

an interface device; and

one or more processors configured to execute the software instructions to;

receive product information associated with a product;

transmit the product information to a financial service provider device;

receive a customer service option associated with the product from the financial service provider device; and

display, by the interface device, the customer service option associated with the product including eligibility for the customer service.

18. The system of claim 17, wherein the product information is determined from a barcode on the product.

19. The system of claim 17, wherein the customer service is a warranty agreement for the product.

20. The system of claim 17, wherein the customer service is at least one of an offer, deal, or coupon for the product.
