Abstract

There are provided systems and methods for a communication device interface for merchant check-in and shopping notifications. A user may enter shopping preferences to a module of a communication device in order to receive notifications and alerts when items matching the shopping preferences are available with one or more merchants. A service provider may receive the shopping preferences with user attributes, such as a user location and/or account balance. The attributes may be determined using applications and/or modules of the communication device or through a check-in by the user at a location. The service provider may determine shopping notifications having purchase offers for the items from available merchants. The purchase offers may include offers to sell the items and discounts for the items. The shopping notifications may be displayed to the user using a user device interface, such as cells within an application or mobile device home screen.

Claims

1. A system comprising:

an input device for receiving a shopping preference for a user;

an output device for displaying a first shopping notification associated with the shopping preference;

an input/output (i/o) interface in communication with the input device and the output device;

a non-transitory memory storing a local shopping module, the shopping preference, the first shopping notification comprising at least one first purchase offer for sale of a first item associated with the shopping preference by a first merchant, and attributes for the user, wherein the first shopping notification is determined using the attributes;

a communication module that communicates the shopping preference and the attributes and receives the first shopping notification; and

at least one hardware processor in communication with the non-transitory memory for executing the local shopping module to access the shopping preference and the attributes, output the shopping preference and the attributes to the communication device, access the first shopping notification, and output the first shopping notification to the output device for display.

The system of claim 1, wherein the input device receives a selection of the first shopping notification, and wherein the one or more hardware processors are further configured to execute the local shopping module to access additional information corresponding to the at least one first purchase offer and output the additional information to the output device for display.

The system of claim 2, wherein the additional information comprises at least one of merchant information for the first merchant, merchant location information for the first merchant, merchant inventory information for the first merchant, a cost for the at least one first purchase offer, item information for the first item, an item discount for the first item, terms of purchase for the at least one first purchase offer, a wait time at the first merchant, and delivery information for the first item by the first merchant.

The system of claim 2, wherein the input device receives a request to purchase the first item in the first shopping notification, wherein the one or more hardware processors are further configured to execute the local shopping module to output the request to the communication module, and wherein the communication module communicates the request to at least one of the first merchant and a payment provider for processing.

5. The system of claim 4, wherein communication module receives a transaction history for the request and wherein the first merchant provides the item to the user on display of the transaction history to the first merchant.

6. The system of claim 4, wherein the merchant receives a transaction history for the request, and wherein the merchant arranges delivery for the first item to the user.

7. The system of claim 1, wherein the attributes comprise at least one of a location for the user, a mode of transportation for the user, and an account balance for the user.

8. The system of claim 7, wherein the first merchant is determined using the location for the user and the mode of transaction for the user

The system of claim 8, wherein the communication module receives a second shopping notification comprising at least one second purchase offer associated with the shopping preference by a second merchant, wherein the second shopping notification is determined using the attributes, wherein the one or more hardware processors are further configured to execute the local shopping module to output the second shopping notification to the output device for display.

The system of claim 9, wherein the one or more hardware processors are configured to execute the local shopping module to output the first shopping notification as a first cell within a user interface of the communication device and the second shopping notification as second cell within the user interface separate from the first cell, and wherein the output device displays the first cell and the second cell within the user interface.

11. The system of claim 10, wherein the first cell comprises first information identifying the first item, and wherein the second cell comprises second information identifying the second item.

12. The system of claim 11, wherein selection of the first cell causes the one or more hardware processors to execute the local shopping module to cause the output device to display the at least one first purchase offer, and wherein selection of the second cell causes the one or more hardware processors to execute the local shopping module to cause the output device to display the at least one second purchase offer.

13. The system of claim 10, wherein the user interface comprises one of a mobile device application window and a mobile device background screen

14. The system of claim 9, wherein the at least one second purchase offer comprises at least one of a price match or a price reduction of the first item offered by the second merchant.

15. A method comprising:

accessing, by a notification module executed by at least one hardware processor of a service provider, a location attribute and a shopping setting for a user;

determining, using the notification module, an offer in proximity to the location attributes for the user, wherein the item offer is associated with the shopping setting;

communicating, via a network interface device, the offer to a communication device associated with the user.

16. The method of claim 15, wherein the location attribute is received, via the network interface device, from a check-in by the user at a merchant location.

17. The method of claim 16, wherein the check-in comprises a connection between the communication device and a merchant device or server for the merchant location.

18. The method of claim 16, wherein the offer comprises a discount for an item at the merchant location.

19. The method of claim 18, wherein the offer is determined by requesting, via the network interface device, merchant discounts for the merchant location from a merchant device or server for the merchant location.

20. A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising executable modules which, in response to execution by a computer system, cause the computer system to perform a method comprising:

accessing, by a notification module executed by at least one hardware processor of a service provider, a location attribute and a shopping setting for a user;

determining, using the notification module, an offer in proximity to the location attributes for the user, wherein the item offer is associated with the shopping setting;

communicating, via a network interface device, the offer to a communication device associated with the user.
