Abstract

A system and method for providing context-based user experiences is disclosed. According to one embodiment, a computer-implemented method comprises determining a user'"'"'s context and a user'"'"'s device. A plurality of user interface cards to the user'"'"'s device is provided based on the user'"'"'s context. Each of the plurality of user interface cards has a data portion and a form portion, and the data portion and the form portion of each of the plurality of user interface cards are delivered separately to the user'"'"'s device.

Claims

1. A computer-implemented method comprising:

determining a user'"'"'s context and a user'"'"'s device;

providing a plurality of user interface cards to a display of the user'"'"'s device based on the user'"'"'s context;

wherein each of the plurality of user interface cards has a data portion and a form portion, and

wherein the data portion and the form portion of each of the plurality of user interface cards are delivered separately to the user'"'"'s device.

2. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the user'"'"'s context comprises the user'"'"'s location, role, responsibility, situation, and environment.

3. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of user interface cards comprises a machine and patient browser.

4. The computer-implemented method of claim 3, wherein the machine and patient browser comprises user interface cards for favorites, a hierarchy browser, map-based asset identification, and near field communication (NFC).

5. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of user interface cards comprises a card viewer and a card organizer.

6. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of user interface cards provides a collaboration and workflow coordination tool for a plurality of users.

7. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of user interface cards is provided based on a spatial interaction model.

8. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the plurality of user interface cards is provided based on an expert or group suggestion.

9. The computer-implemented method of claim 1, wherein the user'"'"'s device is one of the device group comprising a smartphone, a mobile device, a laptop, a big screen, a desktop PC, a wearable computer, and an industrial machine.

10. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 further comprising providing a list of available user interface cards to the user from a card catalog based on the user'"'"'s context.

11. A system comprising:

a network interface for connecting to a server;

a display for providing user interface cards to a user; and

a processor running a card reader, the card reader providing on the display a plurality of user interface cards available on the server based on a user'"'"'s context, and

wherein each of the plurality of user interface cards has a data portion and a form portion, and

wherein the data portion and the form portion of each of the plurality of user interface cards are delivered separately to the user'"'"'s device.

12. The system of claim 11, wherein the user'"'"'s context comprises the user'"'"'s location, role, responsibility, situation, and environment.

13. The system of claim 11, wherein the plurality of user interface cards comprises a machine and patient browser.

14. The system of claim 13, wherein the machine and patient browser comprises user interface cards for favorites, a hierarchy browser, map-based asset identification, and near field communication (NFC).

15. The system of claim 11, wherein the plurality of user interface cards comprises a card viewer and a card organizer.

16. The system of claim 11, wherein the plurality of user interface cards provides a collaboration and workflow coordination tool for a plurality of users.

17. The system of claim 11, wherein the plurality of user interface cards is provided based on a spatial interaction model.

18. The system of claim 11, wherein the plurality of user interface cards is provided based on an expert or group suggestion.

19. The system of claim 11, wherein the system is selected from a group comprising a smartphone, a mobile device, a laptop, a big screen, a desktop PC, a wearable computer, and an industrial machine.

20. The system of claim 11, wherein the card reader provides a list of available user interface cards to the user from a card catalog based on the user'"'"'s context.
