Abstract

A personalized webpage gifting system includes a server in communication with a computing device having a processor to execute an application. Upon execution, the application generates generate a graphical user interface (GUI) to receive recipient information from each of a plurality of participants in which the recipient information user-supplied content associated with a recipient from each of a plurality of participants, and a monetary amount to be contributed towards purchase of a gift for the recipient. The application then combines the user-supplied content of each participant to form a personalized content structure, wherein the application is further executable to facilitate transmission of the gift and the personalized content structure to the recipient.

Claims

1. A personalized webpage gifting system comprising:

a server in communication with a computing device and comprising at least one processor; and

an application executable by the at least one processor to;

generate a graphical user interface (GUI) to receive recipient information from each of a plurality of participants, the recipient information comprising;

at least one of user-supplied textual, audio, images, photographic, or video content associated with a recipient from each of a plurality of participants; and

a monetary amount to be contributed towards purchase of a gift for the recipient; and

combine the user-supplied content of each participant to form a personalized content structure, wherein the application is further executable to facilitate transmission of the gift and the personalized content structure to the recipient.

2. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 1, wherein the personalized content structure comprises a celebration video.

3. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 1, wherein the personalized content structure comprises a message board for communicating messages between of the participants.

4. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 1, wherein the personalized content structure comprises a scrapbook.

5. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 1, wherein the personalized content structure comprises a reveal message including information associated with the purchased gift, the reveal message configured to be displayed on a computing system of the recipient when the gift is revealed.

The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 1, wherein application is further executable to create a personalized uniform resource locator (URL) and an associated personalized webpage, the personalized content structure comprising a background image to be displayed on the personalized webpage.

7. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 1, wherein the application is further executable to:

determine one or more suggested gifts according analytics information associated with the recipient; and

display the one or more suggested gifts on the GUI.

8. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 1, wherein the application is further executable to generate the personalized content structure from a template.

9. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 1, wherein the gift comprises at least one of a gift card, a subscription to a product or service, and an event ticket.

10. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 9, wherein the application is further executed to access a website of a merchant of the gift, and include the website in the generated GUI for conducting a transaction for the gift between at least one participant and the merchant.

11. A method comprising:

generating, using at least one processor that executes an application stored in a memory, a graphical user interface (GUI) to receive recipient information from each of a plurality of participants, the recipient information comprising at least one of user-supplied textual, audio, images, photographic, or video content associated with a recipient from each of a plurality of participants, and a monetary amount to be contributed towards purchase of a gift for the recipient; and

combining, using the application, the user-supplied content of each participant to form a personalized content structure; and

transmitting, using the application, the gift and the personalized content structure to the recipient.

12. The method of claim 11, further comprising combining the user-supplied content to form a celebration video.

13. The method of claim 11, further comprising combining the user-supplied content to form a message board for communicating messages between of the participants.

14. The method of claim 11, further comprising combining the user-supplied content to form a scrapbook.

15. The method of claim 11, further comprising combining the user-supplied content to form a reveal message including information associated with the purchased gift, the reveal message configured to be displayed on a computing system of the recipient when the gift is revealed.

16. The method of claim 11, further comprising:

creating a personalized uniform resource locator (URL) and an associated personalized webpage; and

combining the user-supplied content to form a background image to be displayed on the personalized webpage.

17. A personalized webpage gifting system comprising:

a server in communication with a computing device and comprising at least one processor; and

an application executable by the at least one processor to;

generate a graphical user interface (GUI) to receive from each of a plurality of participants, a monetary amount to be contributed towards purchase of a gift for a recipient; and

facilitate transmission of the gift to the recipient;

after transmitting the gift to the recipient, generate another graphical user interface (GUI) to receive at least one of user-supplied textual, audio, images, photographic, or video content from the recipient, the user-supplied content including gratitude information associated with reception of the gift;

generate a response message from the received content; and

transmit the response message to each of the participants.

18. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 17, wherein the application is further executable to generate the personalized content structure from a template.

19. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 17, wherein the thank you message comprises an electronic message.

20. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 17, wherein the thank you message includes a video message.

21. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 17, wherein the response message is selected from among a plurality of video messages stored in a memory of the server.

22. A method comprising:

generating, using at least one processor that executes an application stored in a memory, a graphical user interface (GUI) to receive from each of a plurality of participants, a monetary amount to be contributed towards purchase of a gift for a recipient; and

facilitating, using the application, transmission of the gift to the recipient;

after transmitting the gift to the recipient, generating another graphical user interface (GUI) to receive at least one of user-supplied textual, audio, images, photographic, or video content from the recipient, the user-supplied content including gratitude information associated with reception of the gift;

generating, using the application, a response message from the received content; and

transmitting, using the application, the response message to each of the participants.

23. The method of claim 22, further comprising generating the personalized content structure from a template.

24. The method of claim 22, wherein the thank you message comprises an electronic message.

25. The method of claim 22, wherein the thank you message includes a video message.

26. The method of claim 22, wherein the response message is selected from among a plurality of pre-recorded messages stored in a memory of the server.

27. A personalized webpage gifting system comprising:

a server in communication with a computing device and comprising at least one processor; and

an application executable by the at least one processor to;

generate a graphical user interface (GUI) to display a dashboard webpage including a plurality of hypertext links to a corresponding plurality of personalized uniform resource locators (URLs); and

when one of the personalized URLs is selected, generate another GUI to display a personalized webpage comprising personalized content for a recipient that has been received from a plurality of participants, wherein the personalized content comprises information associated with a gift purchased by the participants for the recipient.

28. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 27, wherein the application is executable to display the dashboard webpage within a login session.

29. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 27, wherein the application is executable to limit access to each personalized webpage according to a type of user associated with the login session.

30. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 27, wherein the application is executable to receive instructions associated with public access to each personalized webpage, and limit public access to each personalized webpage according to the received instructions.

31. A method comprising:

generating, using at least one processor that executes an application stored in a memory, a graphical user interface (GUI) to display a dashboard webpage including a plurality of hypertext links to a corresponding plurality of personalized uniform resource locators (URLs); and

when one of the personalized URLs is selected, generating, using the application, another GUI to display a personalized webpage comprising personalized content for a recipient that has been received from a plurality of participants, wherein the personalized content comprises information associated with a gift purchased by the participants for the recipient.

32. The method of claim 31, further comprising displaying the dashboard webpage within a login session.

33. The method of claim 31, further comprising limiting access to each personalized webpage according to a type of user associated with the login session.

34. The method of claim 31, further comprising receiving instructions associated with public access to each personalized webpage, and limit public access to each personalized webpage according to the received instructions.

35. A personalized webpage gifting system comprising:

a server in communication with a computing device and comprising at least one processor; and

an application executable by the at least one processor to;

generate a graphical user interface (GUI) for receiving recipient information associated with a recipient from a host;

create a personal uniform resource locator (URL) based upon at least a portion of the recipient information, and a personalized webpage addressed by said personal uniform resource locator;

receive, from the GUI, participant information associated with one or more participants to be invited to contribute to the personalized webpage;

generate a participant encouragement message including at least one of user-supplied textual, audio, images, photographic, or video content from the host; and

transmit the participant encouragement message to each of the participants.

36. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 35, wherein at least one participant is selected from a social media website.

37. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 35, wherein the user-supplied content comprises a video message, the application executable to display the GUI for receiving the video message from the host.

38. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 35, wherein the user-supplied content comprises an audio message, the application executable to display the GUI for receiving the audio message from the host.

39. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 35, wherein the application is executable to transmit the participant encouragement message to each of the participants using an e-mail message.

40. The personalized webpage gifting system of claim 35, wherein the participant encouragement message includes a link to the personal URL.
