Abstract

The description relates to a shared digital workspace. One example includes a display device and sensors. The sensors are configured to detect users proximate the display device and to detect that an individual user is performing an individual user command relative to the display device. The system also includes a graphical user interface configured to be presented on the display device that allows multiple detected users to simultaneously interact with the graphical user interface via user commands.

Claims

1. A device, comprising:

a display; and

,

a processor configured to cause a graphical user interface to be presented on the display and wherein the graphical user interface is configured to simultaneously interact with multiple different users on a shared space of the graphical user interface and is further configured to allow individual users to have personal spaces on portions of the shared space.

2. The device of claim 1, wherein the personal spaces comprises tunnels and wherein an individual tunnel is configured to allow a first individual user to access personal content of the first individual user.

3. The device of claim 2, wherein the graphical user interface is configured to allow the first individual user to semantically zoom on the personal content to view details about the personal content.

4. The device of claim 2, wherein the personal content comprises content from a global profile or a personal device of the first individual user.

5. The device of claim 2, wherein the personal content comprises a listing of personal devices belong to the first individual user and accessible via the individual tunnel.

6. The device of claim 2, wherein the graphical user interface is further configured to present an identify of the first individual user proximate to the individual tunnel.

7. The device of claim 6, wherein the identity comprises the name of the first individual user or a photograph of the first individual user.

8. The device of claim 1, wherein the display further includes sensors configured to detect and identify the multiple different users or wherein the device is further configured to receive input relating to the detecting and the identifying.

9. The device of claim 8, wherein the sensors are configured to detect and identify the multiple different users when the individual users perform user commands as part of the simultaneously interacting.

10. The device of claim 9, wherein the user commands comprise voice commands or gestures.

11. The device of claim 1, wherein the graphical user interface is configured to allow content to be moved from the personal spaces to the shared space and is configured to allow content to be moved from the shared space to the personal spaces.

12. The device of claim 1, wherein a first individual user is associated with a first personal space and wherein the graphical user interface is configured to remove the first personal space from the shared space responsive to an individual user command from the first individual user or after a period of time that the first individual user has not accessed the first personal space.

13. A system, comprising:

a display device;

sensors configured to detect users proximate the display device; and

,

a group experience graphical user interface configured to be presented on the display device, the group experience graphical user interface being autonomous from the users while allowing the users to simultaneously engage the group experience graphical user interface in a collaborative manner.

14. The system of claim 13, wherein the sensors are configured to detect a user command performed by an individual user and are further configured to identify the individual user based upon biometric information obtained during the detecting of the user command.

15. The system of claim 13, wherein the simultaneously engaging comprises writing on the group experience graphical user interface and wherein the group experience graphical user interface is configured to distinguish writing performed by a first user from writing performed by a second user.

16. The system of claim 13, wherein the system is configured to automatically save a copy of the group experience graphical user interface when the users are no longer detected by the sensors.

17. The system of claim 16, wherein the system is configured to automatically present the saved copy of the group experience graphical user interface to the same users when the same users are subsequently detected by the sensors.

18. The system of claim 16, wherein the group experience graphical user interface is further configured to allow at least one of the users to be a remote user that can view and interact with the group experience graphical user interface via a personal device.

19. A system, comprising:

a display device; and

,

a group experience graphical user interface configured to be presented on the display device that allows multiple detected users to simultaneously interact with the group experience graphical user interface without the multiple users being logged-in or identified by the group experience graphical user interface.

20. The system of claim 19, further comprising sensors configured to detect user commands performed by individual users to interact with the group experience graphical user interface and wherein the system is configured to attempt to identify the individual users based at least in part on information obtained from the detected user commands.
