Abstract
The present invention relates to a system, method and computer program product for managing a groupware system. The groupware system includes records associated with one or more groups of members. The method includes: listening for or intercepting a change in members of a group including adding new members and/or removing old members; locating records associated with the original group members; and updating the located records by adding the new members or removing the old members.

18. A method for managing groups associated with events, said method comprising:

updating, by one or more processors of a computer system, a first record stored on one or more computer readable data storage devices, wherein the first record comprises information pertaining to a first event, wherein the information pertaining to the first event comprises a list of initial members of a first group of members invited to the first event, and wherein said updating the first record comprises adding a new member to the first group which results in the first group in the first record including the new member in addition to the initial members; and in response to said updating the first record, said one or more processors displaying on a graphical user interface (GUI) a change control window which queries a user to select whether or not to be provided with a capability to add the new member to one or more other groups of members invited to respective one or more other events, wherein each group of the one or more other groups comprise a respective list of members that include the initial members of the first group. - View Dependent Claims (19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24)

A computer program product, comprising a one or more computer readable storage devices having computer readable program code stored therein, said program code containing instructions which, upon being executed by one or more processors of a computer system, implement a method for managing groups associated with events, said method comprising:
