Abstract

An image outputting device including a camera configured to obtain a viewer'"'"'s image; a display configured to reproduce content; and a controller configured to perform a dual-recording function recording both the viewer'"'"'s image and the content being reproduced, based on at least one of additional information corresponding to the content being reproduced and a result of analyzing the obtained viewer'"'"'s image.

Claims

1. An image outputting device, comprising:

a camera configured to obtain a viewer'"'"'s image;

a display configured to reproduce content; and

a controller configured to;

perform a dual-recording function recording both the viewer'"'"'s image and the content being reproduced, based on at least one of additional information corresponding to the content being reproduced and a result of analyzing the obtained viewer'"'"'s image.

2. The image outputting device of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to determine a period during which the dual-recording function is performed, based on a highlight period contained in the additional information of the content being reproduced.

3. The image outputting device of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to determine a period during which the dual-recording function is performed, based on a time of reproducing the content, corresponding to predetermined specific text in caption information contained in the additional information of the content being reproduced.

4. The image outputting device of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to:

analyze the viewer'"'"'s image, and

perform the dual-recording function when the analyzed viewer'"'"'s image indicates the viewer is making a predetermined facial expression or gesture.

5. The image outputting device of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to displays an indication indicating the dual-recording function is being performed.

6. The image outputting device of claim 5, wherein the controller is further configured to:

display a control region include control options for controlling the reproduction of the content, and

display the indication indicating a time or period when the dual-recording function is performed in the control region.

7. The image outputting device of claim 1, further comprising:

a microphone configured to receive a sound signal,

wherein the controller is further configured to;

record the sound signal received through the microphone during a period when the dual-recording function is performed, and

store the recorded sound signal separately from a sound signal of the content being reproduced.

8. The image outputting device of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to store the viewer'"'"'s image recorded as a result of performing the dual-recording function in combination with an image of the content being reproduced or independently from the content being reproduced.

9. The image outputting device of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to:

analyze the viewer'"'"'s image, and

when the analyzed viewer'"'"'s image indicates a plurality of viewers, perform the dual-recording function on a viewer making a specific facial expression or a specific gesture among the plurality of viewers or alternately perform the dual-recording function on the plurality of viewers.

10. The image outputting device of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to:

display on the display the viewer'"'"'s image obtained by the camera together with the content being reproduced and the dual-recording function not being performed, and

change how the viewer'"'"'s image is displayed when performing the dual-recording function.

11. The image outputting device of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to store the viewer'"'"'s image recorded as a result of performing the dual-recording function in a memory in association with the content that was recorded.

12. The image outputting device of claim 10, wherein the controller is further configured to:

reproduce the stored content, and

display an indication on the display indicating the viewer'"'"'s image is recorded in association with a specific portion of the content.

13. The image outputting device of claim 12, wherein the controller is further configured to:

display a progress bar based for the reproduced stored content, and

display a thumbnail image as the indication corresponding to the recorded viewer'"'"'s image on a region adjacent to the progress bar corresponding to the specific portion when the viewer'"'"'s image is recorded.

14. The image outputting device of claim 12, wherein the controller is further configured to:

display a progress bar based for the reproduced stored content, and

distinctively displaying a region of the progress bar corresponding to when the viewer'"'"'s image is recorded with the content being reproduced from another portion of the progress bar.

15. The image outputting device of claim 12, wherein the controller is further configured to:

receive a selection of the displayed indication, and

provide a searching function on the recorded viewer'"'"'s image and the content based on the received selection of the indication.

16. The image outputting device of claim 1, wherein the controller is further configured to:

analyze the viewer'"'"'s image, and

when the analyzed viewer'"'"'s image indicates a plurality of viewers, display respective indications for the plurality of viewers.

17. A method of controlling an image outputting device, the method comprising:

obtaining, via a camera of the image outputting device, a viewer'"'"'s image;

reproducing, on a display of the image outputting device, content; and

performing, via a controller of the image outputting device, a dual-recording function recording both the viewer'"'"'s image and the content being reproduced, based on at least one of additional information corresponding to the content being reproduced and a result of analyzing the obtained viewer'"'"'s image.

18. The method of claim 17, further comprising:

determining a period during which the dual-recording function is performed, based on a highlight period contained in the additional information of the content being reproduced.

19. The method of claim 17, further comprising:

determining a period during which the dual-recording function is performed, based on a time of reproducing the content, corresponding to predetermined specific text in caption information contained in the additional information of the content being reproduced.

20. The method of claim 17, further comprising:

analyzing the viewer'"'"'s image; and

performing the dual-recording function when the analyzed viewer'"'"'s image indicates the viewer is making a predetermined facial expression or gesture.
