Abstract

A system including a smartphone or tablet of a visiting user accessing a web site and security system of a visited person, the security system having a secured area with the visited person located at a predetermined location within the secured area, the web site downloading an initial geographical location of the visiting user from the smartphone or tablet of the visiting user, a processor of the web site generating and sending a map to the smartphone or tablet based upon the downloaded initial geographic location of the visiting user and the predetermined location of the visited person, the smartphone or table displaying the generated map on a display of the smartphone or tablet guiding the visiting user from the initial location of the visiting user to the predetermined location of the visited person and the processor of the website dynamically updating the map displayed on the smartphone or tablet.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

a smartphone or tablet of a visiting user accessing a web site and security system of a visited person, the security system having a secured area with the visited person located at a predetermined location within the secured area;

the web site downloading an initial geographical location of the visiting user from the smartphone or tablet of the visiting user;

a processor of the web site generating and sending a map to the smartphone or tablet based upon the downloaded initial geographic location of the visiting user and the predetermined location of the visited person;

the smartphone or table displaying the generated map on a display of the smartphone or tablet guiding the visiting user from the initial location of the visiting user to the predetermined location of the visited person; and

the processor of the website dynamically updating the map displayed on the smartphone or tablet.

2. The method as in claim 1 further comprising a processor of the website determining that the visiting user has arrived at the secured area by reading the geographic location of the visitor.

3. The method as in claim 2 further comprising a processor of the website automatically notifying the visited person of the visiting user'"'"'s arrival in response to the visitor activating a notifify button on the displayed map.

4. The method as in claim 3 wherein the automatic notification further comprises e-mail.

5. The method as in claim 3 wherein the automatic notification further comprises a Face book message.

6. The method as in claim 1 further comprising a processor of the website automatically granting entry access through the security system at the visited location.

7. The method as in claim 6 further comprising a processor of the website sending an access token to the smartphone or tablet.

8. The method as in claim 6 wherein the access token further comprises one of a password, personal identification number (PIN) and identification (ID) service number.

9. An apparatus comprising:

a smartphone or tablet of a visiting user that accesses a web site and security system of a visited person, the security system having a secured area with the visited person located at a predetermined location within the secured area;

a processor of the web site that downloads an initial geographical location of the visiting user from the smartphone or tablet of the visiting user;

a processor of the web site that generates and sends a map to the smartphone or tablet based upon the downloaded initial geographic location of the visiting user and the predetermined location of the visited person;

the smartphone or table that displays the generated map on a display of the smartphone or tablet guiding the visiting user from the initial location of the visiting user to the predetermined location of the visited person; and

the processor of the website that dynamically updates the map displayed on the smartphone or tablet.

10. The apparatus as in claim 9 further comprising a processor sending an invitation to the visiting user, the invitation including a navigation URL of the web site.

11. The apparatus as in claim 10 further comprising a web browser of the portable device accessing the web site based upon the navigation URL.

12. The apparatus as in claim 9 further comprising the portable user device sending periodic updates of a then current geographic location of the portable device.

13. The apparatus as in claim 9 further comprising a processor of the website updating the visited person of the visiting user'"'"'s current location and time of arrival.

14. The apparatus as in claim 9 further comprising a processor of the website automatically notifying the visited person of the visiting user'"'"'s arrival.

15. The apparatus as in claim 9 further comprising the smartphone or tablet notifying the processor upon arrival at the visited location.

16. The apparatus as in claim 14 wherein the automatic notification further comprises one of e-mail, a Face book message and a Four Square message.

17. The apparatus as in claim 9 further comprising a processor of the website that automatically grants entry access through an entry of the security system at the visited location.

18. The apparatus as in claim 17 further comprising a processor of the website sending an access token to the smartphone or tablet.

19. The apparatus as in claim 17 wherein the access token further comprises one of a password, personal identification number (PIN) and identification (ID) service number.

20. An apparatus comprising:

a security system;

a smartphone or tablet of a visiting user that accesses a web site of a visited person;

the website uploads a navigation universal resource locator (URL) to the smartphone or tablet;

the smartphone or tablet generates and displays a map on a display of the smartphone or tablet based upon the uploaded navigation URL, the displayed map guiding the visiting user from the initial location of the visiting user to a location of the visited person;

the smartphone or tablet automatically notifies the visited person upon arrival of the visiting person at the location of the visited person; and

the security system automatically grants access into the secured area.
