Abstract

Provided are a method and an apparatus for monitoring a control channel in a wireless communication system. A wireless device receives indicative information for indicating a search space for a downlink control channel through an indication channel, and monitors the downlink control channel in the search space. The search space is defined by one or more pairs of physical resource blocks (PRBs).

Claims

1. A method for monitoring a control channel in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

receiving, by a wireless device, indication information for indicating a search space for a downlink control channel on an indication channel; and

monitoring, by the wireless device, the downlink control channel in the search space,

wherein the search space is defined by one or more physical resource block (PRB) pairs.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein a resource region in which the indication channel is received and the search space are located in the same subframe.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the one or more PRB pairs contain N enhanced control channel elements (ECCEs), where N>

=1.

4. The method of claim 3, wherein the downlink control channel is monitored in M ECCEs among the N ECCEs, where M<

N, and the indication channel is monitored in the remaining ECCEs.

5. The method of claim 2, wherein the resource region in which the indication channel is received is fixed in the subframe.

6. The method of claim 2, wherein the resource region in which the indication channel is received partially or entirely overlaps with the search space.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the indication information indicates any one of the number of PRB pairs and a position of the PRB pair.

8. A wireless device for monitoring a control channel in a wireless communication system, the wireless device comprising:

a radio frequency (RF) unit configured to transmit and receive a radio signal; and

a processor operatively coupled to the RF unit and configured to;

receive indication information for indicating a search space for a downlink control channel on an indication channel; and

monitor the downlink control channel in the search space,

wherein the search space is defined by one or more physical resource block (PRB) pairs.

9. The wireless device of claim 8, wherein a resource region in which the indication channel is received and the search space are located in the same subframe.

10. The wireless device of claim 9, wherein the one or more PRB pairs contain N enhanced control channel elements (ECCEs), where N>

=1.

11. The wireless device of claim 10, wherein the downlink control channel is monitored in M ECCEs among the N ECCEs, where M<

N, and the indication channel is monitored in the remaining ECCEs.
