Abstract

A heat receiving apparatus includes a heat receiver including: a case that is provided at its inside with a flow path through which a refrigerant flows, and that conducts heat from a heat-generating part arranged outside the case; and a valve that is capable of changing a cross sectional area of a part of the flow path in a state where the refrigerant flows through the flow path.

Claims

1. A heat receiving apparatus comprising

a heat receiver including:

a case that is provided at its inside with a flow path through which a refrigerant flows, and that conducts heat from a heat-generating part arranged outside the case; and

a valve that is capable of changing a cross sectional area of a part of the flow path in a state where the refrigerant flows through the flow path.

2. The heat receiving apparatus of claim 1, wherein

the case includes:

a first wall that faces the heat-generating part; and

a second wall that faces the first wall,

the flow path includes;

a first region that is located at a first wall side; and

a second region that is located at a second wall side, and

the valve is capable of changing the cross sectional area of the second region.

3. The heat receiving apparatus of claim 1, comprising:

a temperature sensor that detects a temperature of the heat-generating part; and

a control unit that controls the valve to reduce the cross sectional area, when an output value of the temperature sensor is more than a predetermined threshold value.

4. The heat receiving apparatus of claim 3, wherein

the valve includes first and second valves that are arranged in different positions in such a direction that the refrigerant flows,

the temperature sensor includes first and second temperature sensors that are respectively arranged close to the first and second valves, and

the control unit controls the first valve to reduce the cross sectional area, when an output valve of the first temperature sensor is more than a first threshold value, and the control unit controls the second valve to reduce the cross sectional area, when an output valve of the second temperature sensor is more than a second threshold value.

5. The heat receiving apparatus of claim 3, wherein the control unit increases output of a pump that causes the refrigerant to flow through the flow path, when the valve reduces the cross sectional area.

6. The heat receiving apparatus of claim 4, wherein

the control unit changes output of a pump causing the refrigerant to flow through the flow path, depending on the number of the valves reducing the cross sectional area.

7. The heat receiving apparatus of claim 5, wherein the valve is an electrically operated type.

8. A cooling apparatus comprising:

a heat receiver;

a heat-generating part; and

a printed circuit board on which the heat-generating part is mounted,

wherein the heat receiver includes;

a case that is provided at its inside with a flow path through which a refrigerant flows, and that conducts heat from the heat-generating part arranged outside the case; and

a valve that is capable of changing a cross sectional area of a part of the flow path in a state where the refrigerant flows through the flow path.

9. The cooling apparatus of claim 8, comprising:

a heat exchanger that takes heat from the refrigerant; and

a pump that causes the refrigerant to circulate.

10. An electronic apparatus comprising:

a cooling apparatus; and

a housing that houses the cooling apparatus,

wherein the cooling apparatus includes;

a heat receiver;

a heat-generating part; and

a printed circuit board on which the heat-generating part is mounted,

wherein the heat receiver includes;

a case that is provided at its inside with a flow path through which a refrigerant flows, and that conducts heat from the heat-generating part arranged outside the case; and

a valve that is capable of changing a cross sectional area of a part of the flow path in a state where the refrigerant flows through the flow path.
