Abstract

A system is disclosed including a first display control section 218 for selectively displaying, in a first display area, a second predetermined number of first objects among first objects, corresponding to a first predetermined number of game programs, for which an order is set, a second display control section for displaying a position designation image at a position corresponding to a position, of subject software, in an order set for the first predetermined number of pieces of software; a display change section for designating a first object to be displayed in the first display area, based on an operation input received by using the position designation image; and an activation execution section for activating software corresponding to one first object which is selected from among the second predetermined number of first objects displayed in the first display area, based on the operation input.

Claims

1. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having stored therein a control program causing a computer to perform:

displaying, in a first display area, a partial subset of a plurality of display objects;

displaying, in a second display area that is different from the first display area, an indicator which is indicative of the position of the partial subset which is currently displayed in the first display area; and

changing the partial subset currently displayed in the first display area to a different partial subset in response to a user input at least on an area to the right of the second display area and on an area to the left of the second display area.

2. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1, wherein

in response to a user input at the first display area, the computer performs changing of the partial subset currently displayed in the first display area to a different partial subset.

3. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 2, wherein

in response to a user input at the second display area, the computer performs changing of the partial subset currently displayed in the first display area to a different partial subset.

4. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1, wherein

the computer further performs displaying, at least on an area to the right of the second display area and on an area to the left of the second display area, a scrolling element.

5. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1, wherein

the computer further performs displaying, in the second display area, a plurality of dot-shaped elements to represent the entirety of the plurality of display objects.

6. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1, wherein

the computer further performs displaying, in the second display area, plural elements positioned at intervals.

7. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 6, wherein

the indicator, indicates the position of the partial subset currently displayed in the first display area among the plural elements positioned at intervals.

8. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 6, wherein

the indicator indicates the position of the partial subset currently displayed in the first area by indicating the element which corresponds to the currently displayed partial subset.

9. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 6, wherein

the plural elements correspond to the plural display objects, respectively.

10. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 6, wherein

the indicator is displayed separately from the plural elements.

11. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 6, wherein

in the second display area, the plural elements are positioned in line.

12. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11, wherein

the plural elements are laterally positioned in line.

13. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12, wherein

the computer does not display any display objects between the first display area and the second display area.

14. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11, wherein

the computer displays a background area of the first display area, not including the plurality of display objects, and a background area of the second display area, not including the plural elements, in an integrated manner.

15. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 14, wherein

the first display area and the second display area are components of a handheld device.

16. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15, wherein

a user input which is a touch input is entered on the first display area, on the second display area, and on an area to the right and to the left of the second display area.

17. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 16, wherein

the computer changes the partial subset currently displayed in the first display area to a different partial subset in response to a user slide touch input on the second display area.

18. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 1, wherein

the control program causes the computer to launch applications corresponding to respective display objects.

19. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 18, wherein

the computer further performs a wireless communication function and applications are downloaded via the wireless function.

20. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 18, wherein

the applications are game applications.

21. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 18, wherein

the computer further performs a wireless communication function and at least one application comprises a wireless communication function.

22. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 21, wherein

a display object is changed in appearance based on the wireless communication function of the application corresponding to the display object.

23. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 18, wherein

the applications are downloadable applications.

24. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 6, wherein

receiving a user input on an element in the second area changes the partial subset currently displayed in the first display area to a different partial subset so that at least a display object corresponding to the element is displayed in the first area.

25. A control apparatus comprising:

a display; and

a computer configured to perform;

displaying, in a first display area of the display, a partial subset of a plurality of display objects;

displaying, in a second display area that is different from the first display area, an indicator which is indicative of the position of the partial subset which is currently displayed in the first display area; and

changing the partial subset currently displayed in the first display area to a different partial subset in response to a user input at least on an area to the right of the second display area and on an area to the left of the second display area.

26. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having stored therein a control program causing a computer to perform:

displaying, in a first display area, a part of a display target;

displaying, in a second display area that is different from the first display area, an indicator which is indicative of the position of the part of the display target which is currently displayed in the first display area relative to the entirety of the display target; and

changing the part currently displayed in the first display area to a different part in response to a user input at least on an area to the right of the second display area and on an area to the left of the second display area.

27. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 26, wherein

in response to a user input at the first display area, the computer performs changing of the part currently displayed in the first display area to a different part.

28. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 27, wherein

in response to a user input at the second display area, the computer performs changing of the part currently displayed in the first display area to a different part.

29. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 26, wherein

the computer further performs displaying, at least on an area to the right of the second display area and on an area to the left of the second display area, a scrolling element.

30. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 26, wherein

the computer further performs displaying in the second display area plural elements positioned at intervals.

31. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 30, wherein

in the second display area, the plural elements are positioned in line.

32. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 30, wherein

the indicator indicates the position of the part of the display target currently displayed in the first display area among the plural elements positioned at intervals.

33. A control apparatus comprising:

a display; and

a computer configured to perform;

displaying, in a first display area of the display, a part of a display target;

displaying, in a second display area that is different from the first display area, an indicator which is indicative of the position of the part of the display target which is currently displayed in the first display area relative to the entirety of the display target; and

changing the part currently displayed in the first display area to a different part in response to a user input at least on an area to the right of the second display area and on an area to the left of the second display area.
