Abstract

A method and system for determining and sharing a user'"'"'s web presence have been disclosed. According to one embodiment, a computer implemented method comprises providing web presence information associated with a first user from a first computer having a first software module. The web presence in formation is received at a second computer. The web presence information is used to dynamically inform a second user communicating with the second computer of a website that the first user is viewing.

Claims

1. A computer-implemented method, comprising:

registering, with one or more processors, a first user by creating permission rules for the first user, the permission rules including a list of other users that have permission to view the first user'"'"'s web presence on a website and;

detecting, with the one or more processors, the first user'"'"'s web presence on the website;

determining, with the one or more processors, whether a second user has permission to view the first user'"'"'s web presence based on whether the second user is part of a list of other users and; and

responsive to the second user having permission to view the user'"'"'s web presence, providing the second user with the first user'"'"'s web presence.
