1. A rodeo flag assembly for selectively transmitting instructions to a rodeo event clock, the rodeo flag comprising:
- a support element;
a flag secured to the support element;
at least one motion measurement sensor operatively coupled to the support element, each motion measurement sensor being configured to produce a measurement signal indicative of the change in the motion of the support element;
a processor operatively coupled to the at least one motion measurement sensor, the processor being configured to receive the measurement signal from each respective motion measurement sensor; and
a wireless transmitter operatively coupled to the processor, the wireless transmitter configured to transmit at least one wireless signal to the rodeo event clock upon receipt by the processor of the measurement signal from each motion measurement sensor, each wireless signal corresponding to a respective measurement signal.

Abstract
A rodeo flag assembly for selectively transmitting instructions to a rodeo event clock. Movement of the rodeo flag assembly can cause the rodeo flag assembly to automatically start the rodeo event clock, automatically stop the rodeo event clock, and/or automatically apply penalties against a rodeo competitor.
