Abstract

A method system and computer readable medium for a method of identifying assets in an asset store, said method comprising, receiving an input representing a predetermined requirement, generating semantic based segments of the predetermined requirement, from the received input, mapping at least one parameter for each of the assets in the asset store with the generated segments, the parameter being one of metadata, supporting documents and source code, identifying at least one asset in the asset store based on the mapping, the asset being relevant to the predetermined requirement and providing as output the identified asset.

Claims

1. A method of identifying assets in an asset store/s, said method comprising:

receiving an input representing a predetermined requirement;

generating semantic based segments of the predetermined requirement, from the received input;

mapping at least one parameter for each of the assets in the asset store/s with the generated segments, the parameter being one of metadata, supporting documents and source code;

identifying at least one asset in the asset store/s based on the mapping, the asset being relevant to the predetermined requirement; and

providing the identified asset as output.

2. The method of identifying as claimed in claim 1, wherein generating semantic based segments of the predetermined requirement comprises analyzing the input query to identify keywords and semantic interpretations relevant to the predetermined requirement.

3. The method of identifying as claimed in claim 1, wherein the parameter for mapping is obtained from an indexing each of the assets in the asset store to extract the parameters linked to the respective asset.

4. The method of identifying as claimed in claim 1, wherein the method of identifying comprises searching across a native asset store and additionally searching across a set of external asset stores thus integrated with the native asset store.

5. The method of identifying as claimed in claim 1, further comprising sourcing the assets in the asset store by crowd-sourcing mechanism;

or migration of asset from existing codebase from Client applications.

7. The method of identifying as claimed in claim 5, wherein crowd-sourcing the assets comprises of submission of assets from external sources, further wherein the external sources comprise at least one among an individual submission, a crowd sourcing platform and an idea generation platform.

11. The system for identifying as claimed in claim 1, wherein generating semantic based segments of the predetermined requirement comprises analyzing the input query to identify keywords and semantic interpretations relevant to the predetermined requirement.

6. The method of identifying as claimed in clime 1, further comprising presenting the asset to the user in a SaaS model.

The method of identifying as claimed in claim 6, wherein presenting the asset to the user comprises passing the asset through a gating criteria to identify its compatibility to be published as a web service, the gating criteria comprising client and technology specific checks, code quality checks and code quality metrics checks.

9. A system for identifying assets in an asset store, said system comprising:

an input unit for receiving an input representing a predetermined requirement;

a processing unit for generating semantic based segments of the predetermined requirement from the received input;

a mapping unit for mapping at least one parameter for each of the assets in the asset store with the generated segments, the parameter being one of metadata, supporting documents and source code;

an identification unit for identifying at least one asset in the asset store based on the mapping, the asset being relevant to the predetermined requirement; and

an output unit providing the identified asset as output.

10. The system of claim 10, wherein said asset store comprises:

a native asset store; and

one of external asset store, an Integrated Development environment and a pre-configured public web API store.

12. The system for identifying as claimed in claim 10, wherein the parameter for mapping is obtained from an indexing of each of the assets in the asset store to extract the parameters linked to the respective asset.

13. The system for identifying as claimed in claim 10, further comprising sourcing the assets in the asset store by crowd-sourcing mechanism

14. The system for identifying as claimed in claim 10, further comprising presenting the asset to the user in a SaaS model.

15. The system for identifying as claimed in claim 13, wherein crowd-sourcing the assets comprises of submission of assets from external sources, further wherein the external sources comprise an individual submission, a crowd sourcing platform and an idea generation platform.

16. The system for identifying as claimed in claim 13, wherein the crowd sourcing further comprises:

identifying a uniqueness of the asset;

acknowledging the asset submission to the asset store;

rewarding a corresponding contributor for the successfully submitted asset; and

managing an Intellectual property of the asset.

17. A computer program product comprising a non-transitory computer-readable medium having a computer-readable program product embodied therein for identifying silent failures in an application wherein the computer readable program product comprises program instruction means for;

receiving an input representing a predetermined requirement;

generating semantic based segments of the predetermined requirement, from the received input;

mapping at least one parameter for each of the assets in the asset store/s with the generated segments, the parameter being one of metadata, supporting documents and source code;

identifying at least one asset in the asset store/s based on the mapping, the asset being relevant to the predetermined requirement; and

providing the identified asset as output.
