at least one storage unit in the form of a server or a cloud-based storage connected to a network;
a processor comprising an analytics module that interacts with said at least one storage device and said plurality of data capture devices to compare said captured image with a protocol image to determine whether said captured image of the patient adheres to one or more of regulatory protocols, operating protocols, health provider orders, and a patient'"'"'s treatment or care plan; and
a user interface integrated with each of the plurality of data capture devices that refreshes said captured image in real-time;
wherein each of said plurality of data capture devices comprises a network interface for internet access.

The interactive hospital information system utilizes inputs from a mobile device, eliminating the cost of fixed cameras and sensor systems in the hospital facility. Aspects of the invention facilitate real-time patient care and patient room updates by care providers, validating that prescribed devices, services, and setups are in place per protocol. The system communicates with rounding persons as to specific care management. Network devices, such as an iPad® or smartphone, are utilized to monitor and record ongoing activities in the healthcare setting.
