1. A displaying and operating device comprising:
- a display unit; and
at least one proximity sensor system, wherein penetration of an object into at least one monitoring space can be detected by the proximity sensor system,wherein at least one representation on the display unit is altered depending on a penetrating object, andwherein the displaying and operating device comprises a unit configured so that a temporal sequence of reception signals of the proximity sensor system is evaluated by the unit,wherein a constant reception signal within a predefined time interval is detected and stored and for a subsequent control is ignored as a static reception signal of the display unit, andwherein a change in the representation is carried out only if a subsequent reception signal exceeds the static reception signal by a predefined value.

Also disclosed is a method for operating a displaying and operating device.

9. A method for controlling a displaying and operating device, comprising a display unit and at least one proximity sensor system, the method comprising:

detecting penetration of an object into at least one monitoring space by the proximity sensor system; altering at least one representation on the display unit depending on a penetrating object; evaluating a temporal sequence of reception signals of the proximity sensor system by a unit; detecting and storing a constant reception signal within a predefined time interval, wherein, for a subsequent control, the constant reception signal is ignored as a static reception signal of the display unit; and carrying out a change in the representation only if a subsequent reception signal exceeds the static reception signal by a predefined value. - View Dependent Claims (10, 11, 12, 13, 14)
