1. A control method of a walking assist robot, comprising:

  • estimating a location of a wearer of the walking assist robot on a map, the map including walking environment information;

    determining a walking environment in a direction in which the wearer moves; and

    selecting one of a plurality of control modes of the walking assistance robot according to the walking environment, the control modes controlling at least a level of assistance provided to the wearer by the walking assist robot.
