DRIVE SYSTEM AND METHOD OF DRIVING A VEHICLE
First Claim
1. A drive system for a vehicle, the drive system comprising a combustion engine with an output shaft, a gear box with an input shaft, an electric machine which comprises a stator and a rotor, and a planetary gear which comprises a sun wheel, a ring wheel and a planet wheel holder;
- the output shaft of the combustion engine is connected to a first of the components of the planetary gear such that rotation of the output shaft causes rotation of the first component;
the input shaft of the gear box is connected to a second of the components of the planetary gear such that rotation of the input shaft causes rotation of the second component, and the rotor of the electric machine is connected to a third of the components of the planetary gear such that rotation of the rotor causes rotation of the third component; and
the drive system comprises an electric circuit with a resistor and an electric switch in the circuit, and the electric machine is connectable to the electric circuit and the resistor during at least a starting process of the vehicle.
