Abstract

There are provided systems and method for a web address determination based on a geo-position of a user. A user may utilize a communication device at a location of an entity to be redirected to an online contact address of the entity. A server may receive a request from the communication device including a request for an online contact address for an entity at the location of the user. The server may then access the location of the user by either receiving the location of the user from the communication device or determining the location of the user by the server. Once the location of the user is accessed, the server may determine the online contact address for the entity at the location of the user. The online contact address may be transmitted to the user for display by the communication device, including display of a website for the entity.

Claims

1. A system comprising:

an online entity lookup module comprising at least one hardware processor that accesses a request for at least one online contact address corresponding to an entity located nearby a user, accesses a first location of the user and entity information, and determines the at least one online contact address for the entity using the first location of the user and the entity information;

a database stored to a non-transitory memory that stores the entity information comprising the at least one online contact address and a second location of the entity; and

a network interface component that receives the request for the at least one online contact address corresponding to the entity and communicates the at least one online contact address to a communication device of the user.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the communication device displays the at least one online contact address to the user.

3. The system of claim 2, wherein the at least one online contact address comprises at least one of a website address, an email address, and an IP address.

4. The system of claim 2, wherein the online entity lookup module further determines offline contact information for the entity, and wherein the network interface component communicates the offline contact information to the communication device for display to the user.

5. The system of claim 2, wherein the communication device displays the at least one online contact address without user input.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein the online entity lookup module accesses the first location of the user by receiving the location of the user from the communication device of the user via the network interface component.

7. The system of claim 6, wherein the communication device determines the first location of the user using at least one of a wireless connection with the entity, a GPS module, and a map application.

8. The system of claim 1, wherein the online entity lookup module accesses the first location of the user by determining the location of the user using at least one of a wireless connection with the entity or other service provider, a GPS service, and a map application.

9. The system of claim 1, wherein the entity comprises a merchant.

10. The system of claim 9, wherein a transaction processing module processes a transaction with the merchant.

11. The system of claim 10, wherein the transaction is generated by the user using the at least one web address.

12. The system of claim 1, wherein the online entity lookup module determines the at least one online contact address by retrieving the at least one online contact address from a website or IP address of the entity.

13. A method comprising:

receiving, via a network interface component, a request for an online address corresponding to an entity located at or nearby a user and a location of the user;

accessing, by an online entity lookup module comprising at least one hardware processor, entity information for a plurality of entities, wherein the entity information comprises locations and online addresses for each of the plurality of entities; and

determining, by the online entity lookup module, the online contact address for the entity using the location of the user and the entity information.

14. The method of claim 13 further comprising:

transmitting the online contact address to a communication device of the user, wherein the communication device displays the online contact address to the user.

15. The method of claim 14, wherein the online contact address comprises at least one of a website address, an email address, and an IP address.

16. The method of claim 13, wherein the accessing the location for the user comprises:

receiving the location of the user from a communication device of the user.

17. The method of claim 16, wherein the communication device determines the location of the user using at least one of a wireless connection with the entity, a GPS module, and a map application.

18. The method of claim 13, wherein the accessing the location for the user comprises:

determining the location for the user using at least one of a wireless connection with the entity or other service provider, a GPS service, and a map application.

19. The method of claim 13, wherein the entity comprises a merchant, and wherein the method further comprises:

processing a transaction generated by the user using the online contact address with the merchant.

20. A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising a plurality of machine-executable modules which when executed by at least one processor of a server are adapted to cause the server to perform a method comprising:

receiving, via a network interface component, a request for an online address corresponding to an entity located at or nearby a user and a location of the user;

accessing, by an online entity lookup module comprising at least one hardware processor, entity information for a plurality of entities, wherein the entity information comprises locations and online addresses for each of the plurality of entities;

determining, by the online entity lookup module, the online contact address for the entity using the location of the user and the entity information; and

communicating, via the network interface component, the online contact address to a communication device of the user for displaying the online contact address on an interface of the communication device.
