1. A computer-implemented method for providing visual feedback when an end area of content is reached, the method comprising:

  • receiving a touch input in a first direction to at least one of scroll, rotate, or scale a portion of content provided for display on a touchscreen, the portion of content comprising first visible content and second visible content, the first visible content separated from an edge of the content in the first direction by first blank space, and the second visible content separated from the edge by second blank space;

    determining whether the edge of the content in the first direction is reached in response to the input; and

    when the determination indicates the edge of the content in the first direction is reached, applying a stretch effect in response to the touch input comprising increasing the first blank space between the edge and the first visible content that is near the location of the touch input by an amount greater than the increase in an amount of the second blank space between the edge and the second visible consent that is farther away from the location of the touch input on the touchscreen.
