Abstract

A touch panel includes a cover substrate on which an active area and an unactive area are defined, and a printing layer on the unactive area. The printing layer includes a first printing layer, and a second printing layer on the first printing layer. The second printing layer is spaced apart from the first printing layer.

Claims

1. A touch panel comprising:

a cover substrate configured to provide an active area and an unactive area, wherein the unactive area includes a printing layer,

wherein the printing layer comprises;

a first printing layer; and

a second printing layer on the first printing layer, the second printing layer being spaced apart from the first printing layer.

2. The touch panel of claim 1, wherein the first printing layer is directly disposed on the cover substrate.

3. The touch panel of claim 1, wherein the second printing layer has a color different from a color of the first printing layer.

4. The touch panel of claim 1, further comprising a substrate on the cover substrate.

5. The touch panel of claim 4, wherein the second printing layer is disposed on the substrate.

6. The touch panel of claim 4, wherein a sensing electrode is disposed on the substrate to sense a position.

7. The touch panel of claim 6, wherein the second printing layer is disposed on the sensing electrode.

8. The touch panel of claim 6, wherein the second printing layer is disposed on one surface of the substrate in opposition to a surface of the substrate where the sensing electrode is disposed.

9. The touch panel of claim 1, wherein the unactive area is provided at a boundary of the active area, and the second printing layer is provided around the boundary such that the second printing layer overlaps with the boundary.

10. The touch panel of claim 9, wherein the second printing layer extends from one end of the unactive area to surround the boundary.

11. The touch panel of claim 1, wherein the first printing layer includes a white layer, and the second printing layer includes a black layer.

12. The touch panel of claim 1, further comprising a third layer on the first printing layer.

13. The touch panel of claim 12, wherein the third printing layer has a same color as a color of the second printing layer.

14. The touch panel of claim 12, wherein the third printing layer is disposed in the unactive area of the cover substrate.

15. The touch panel of claim 12, wherein the third printing layer makes contact with the first printing layer and is spaced apart from the second printing layer.

16. The touch panel of claim 12, wherein a thickness of the third printing layer is less than a thickness of the first printing layer.

17. The touch panel of claim 12, wherein the third printing layer has a color different from a color of the first printing layer.

18. The touch panel of claim 4, wherein the substrate includes a first substrate and a second substrate, and

the sensing electrode includes a first sensing electrode on the first substrate, and a second sensing electrode on the second substrate.

19. The touch panel of claim 14, wherein the second printing layer is provided on at least one of the first and second substrates.

20. The touch panel of claim 14, wherein the second printing layer includes a fourth printing layer on the first substrate;

and a fifth printing layer on the second substrate.
