Abstract

The present disclosure provides a method for providing an electronic gift (e-gift), the method including providing information about products to a messenger of a user terminal, selecting at least one e-gift icon, which corresponds to a product to be provided as a gift, when the at least one e-gift icon is selected, displaying a settlement page, which corresponds to the at least one selected e-gift icon, when a settlement corresponding to the at least one selected e-gift icon is finished by the displayed settlement page, transmitting the at least one selected e-gift icon to at least one receipt terminal connected via the messenger, and when the at least one selected e-gift icon is accepted at the at least one receipt terminal, providing the product information of the at least one selected e-gift icon to the at least one receipt terminal

Claims

1. A method for providing an electronic gift (e-gift) by a communication network, the method comprising:

providing, by a gift provision apparatus, information about products to a messenger of a user terminal, the messenger is a user terminal operating software for transmitting and receiving messages and data in real time through the communication network;

selecting, by the user terminal, at least one e-gift icon, which corresponds to a product to be provided as a gift;

when the at least one e-gift icon is selected, displaying, by the user terminal, a settlement page, which corresponds to the at least one selected e-gift icon;

when a settlement corresponding to the at least one selected e-gift icon is finished by the displayed settlement page, transmitting, by the user terminal, the at least one selected e-gift icon to at least one receipt terminal connected via the messenger; and

when the at least one selected e-gift icon is accepted at the at least one receipt terminal, providing, by the gift provision apparatus, the product information of the at least one selected e-gift icon to the at least one receipt terminal.

2. The method as set forth in claim 1, wherein the displaying comprises:

receiving, by the user terminal, at least one of a telephone number of the at least one receipt terminal or an e-mail address.

3. The method as set forth in claim 1, wherein the displaying comprises:

selecting, by the user terminal, the at least one receipt terminal registered in the messenger'"'"'s address book.

4. The method as set forth in claim 1, further comprising:

registering, by the gift provision apparatus, information of the at least one receipt terminal and information associated with at least one of a downloadable period and a usable period of the at least one selected e-gift icon; and

providing, by the gift provision apparatus, a message associated with a repayment of money corresponding to the e-gift icon which has not been used in the usable period and a message associated with a usage prohibition of the e-gift icon in which the usable period has expired, to at least one of the user terminal and the at least one receipt terminal.

5. The method as set forth in claim 4, further comprising:

when the accepted e-gift icon is used in a predetermined shop, registering, by the gift provision apparatus, a use completion message transmitted from a point of sale (POS) terminal of the shop.

6. A method for providing an electronic gift (e-gift) by a communication network, the method comprising:

providing, by a gift provision apparatus, information about products to a messenger of a user terminal, the messenger is a user terminal operating software for transmitting and receiving messages and data in real time through the communication network;

selecting, by the user terminal, at least one e-gift icon, which corresponds to a product to be provided as a gift;

when the at least one e-gift icon is selected, transmitting, by the gift provision apparatus, the at least one selected e-gift icon and product information of the least one selected e-gift icon, to at least one receipt terminal connected through a messenger of the at least one receipt terminal;

when the at least one e-gift icon is accepted at the at least one receipt terminal, displaying, by the at least one receipt terminal, a settlement page, which corresponds to the at least one selected e-gift icon; and

when the settlement is finished, transmitting, by the gift provision apparatus, the accepted e-gift icon to the user terminal.

7. The method as set forth in claim 6, further comprising:

providing, by the gift provision apparatus, a message associated with a repayment of money corresponding to an e-gift icon which has not been used in the usable period and a message associated with a usage prohibition of an e-gift icon in which the usable period has expired, to at least one of the user terminal and the receipt terminal.

8. The method as set forth in claim 6, further comprising:

providing, by the gift provision apparatus, a list of at least one of transmission history and usage history of the e-gift icon for a predetermined period, to at least one of the user terminal and the receipt terminal.

9. The method as set forth in claim 8, further comprising:

when the settlement is finished, displaying an e-gift return button on a screen of the user terminal;

when the e-gift return button is selected, providing an e-gift list to the user terminal;

when at least one e-gift is selected from the e-gift list, transmitting at least one e-gift icon corresponding to the at least one selected e-gift, to the receipt terminal.

10. The method as set forth in claim 9, wherein the at least one e-gift icon corresponding to the at least one selected e-gift.

11. The method as set forth in claim 9, further comprising:

authenticating validity of the e-gift icon transmitted from a point of sale (POS) terminal installed in a predetermined shop;

transmitting an authentication code corresponding to the authentication of the validity, to the POS terminal; and

when the e-gift icon has been used, the POS terminal transmitting a message indicating usage completion of the e-gift icon, to the gift provision apparatus.
