- receiving a drag and drop event message indicating that a first user has dragged content from a source window to a destination window on a split screen display of a first user device;
determining, by a processor, an identifier of the first user in response to receiving the drag and drop event message;
retrieving, by the processor, a first user profile of the first user using the first user identifier, wherein the first user profile identifies a user category of the first user;
selecting, by the processor, an advertisement based on the user category; and
communicating the advertisement to the first user device for presentation.

In an example, the example embodiments may include receiving a drag and drop event message indicating that a first user has dragged content from a source window to a destination window on a split screen display of a first user device, determining an identifier of the first user in response to receiving the drag and drop event message, and retrieving a first user profile of the first user using the first user identifier, wherein the first user profile identifies a user category of the first user. The example embodiments may further include selecting an advertisement based on the user category, and communicating the advertisement to the first user device for presentation.
