Embodiments of the present disclosure may assist the user to carry out a squat with proper form to reduce the risk of injury and increase effectiveness of the exercise. Embodiments of the present disclosure comprise a forward knee-arresting surface to restrict forward movement of the user'"'"'s knees in order to keep the knees in line with the user'"'"'s toes. Embodiments of the present disclosure further comprise lateral knee guides. A resistive force may be applied to the lateral knee guides to increase muscle exertion while carrying out the exercise.
