Abstract

A system, method, and computer program product for generating healthcare data keyword files is disclosed. The system may include a reader module on a computer, a mapper module on a computer, and a generator module on a computer. The reader module may be configured to read one or more healthcare data fields associated with a first vendor and read one or more portions of healthcare data associated with the one or more data fields. The mapper module may be configured to allow a first mapping of the one or more data fields to one or more keyword fields. In accordance with the first mapping, the generator module may be configured to generate one or more keywords associated with the one or more portions of healthcare data.

Claims

1. A computerized system for generating healthcare data keyword files, the system comprising:

a reader module on a computer configured to;

read one or more healthcare data fields associated with a first vendor; and

read one or more portions of healthcare data associated with the one or more data fields;

a mapper module on a computer configured to;

allow a first mapping of the one or more data fields to one or more keyword fields; and

a generator module on a computer configured to;

in accordance with the first mapping, generate one or more keywords associated with the one or more portions of healthcare data.

2. The computerized system of claim 1, wherein the reader module is further configured to read one or more healthcare data fields associated with a second vendor;

and the mapper module is further configured to allow a second mapping associated with one or more healthcare data fields.

3. The computerized system of claim 2, wherein the first vendor is a healthcare provider and the second vendor is a healthcare patient.

4. The computerized system of claim 2, wherein the generator module is further configured to, in accordance with the second mapped one or more data fields, generate one or more keywords in accordance with the second mapped one or more data fields.

5. The computerized system of claim 1, wherein the generator module is further configured to identify an error in the first and second mappings.

6. The computerized system of claim 5, wherein the generator module is further configured to generate a report showing a location of the identification.

7. A computerized system for generating healthcare data keyword files, the system comprising:

one or more computing devices including;

a memory having program code stored therein;

a processor in communication with the memory configured to carry out instructions in accordance with the stored program code, wherein the program code, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to perform operations comprising;

reading one or more healthcare data fields associated with a first vendor; and

reading one or more portions of healthcare data associated with the one or more data fields;

allowing a first mapping of the one or more data fields to one or more keyword fields; and

in accordance with the first mapped one or more data fields, generating one or more keywords associated with the one or more portions of healthcare data.

8. The computerized system of claim 8, further comprising:

reading one or more healthcare data fields associated with a second vendor; and

allowing a second mapping associated with one or more healthcare data fields.

10. The computerized system of claim 8, further comprising identifying an error in the first and second mappings.

11. The computerized system of claim 8, further comprising generating a report showing a location of the identification of the error.

9. The computerized system of claim 9, wherein the first vendor is a healthcare provider and the second vendor is a healthcare patient.

12. A computerized system for generating healthcare data keyword files, the system comprising:

a reader module on a computer configured to;

read one or more healthcare data fields associated with a first vendor; and

read one or more healthcare data fields associated with a second vendor;

read one or more portions of healthcare data associated with the one or more data fields;

a mapper module on a computer configured to;

allow a first mapping of the one or more first vendor data fields to one or more keyword fields;

allow a second mapping of the one or more second vendor data fields; and

a generator module on a computer configured to;

in accordance with the first and second mappings, generate one or more keywords associated with the one or more portions of healthcare data.

13. The computerized system of claim 12, wherein the first vendor is a healthcare provider and the second vendor is a healthcare patient.

14. The computerized system of claim 12, wherein the generator module is further configured to identify an error in the first and second mappings.

15. The computerized system of claim 14, wherein the error occurs when two of the one or more healthcare data fields is mapped to one keyword.

16. The computerized system of claim 15, wherein the generator module is further configured to generate a report showing a location of the identification of the error.

17. The computerized system of claim 12, wherein the reader module is further configured to validate the one or more portions of healthcare data.

18. The computerized system of claim 17, wherein the validation comprises determining whether the one or more portions of healthcare data is an appropriate format for interpretation by the generator module.

19. The computerized system of claim 18, wherein the appropriate format is a text file.

20. The computerized system of claim 12, wherein the one or more keywords are input into a healthcare management software system for claim processing.
