Abstract
The invention concerns a method of distributing one or more digital vouchers to the communications device of a user comprising: identifying, based on a user input to the communications device (106), a plurality of digital vouchers; displaying on a display of said communications device an advertising link to each of said plurality of digital vouchers; and in response to a selection by said user of one or more of said advertising links, transmitting one or more digital vouchers corresponding to said selected links to said communications device.

2. A computer-implemented method comprising:

receiving, at a client computing device, input that selects a particular digital coupon to be applied to a transaction being processed by a point of sale computing device for a particular provider; retrieving, by the client computing device, the particular digital coupon from a local storage system on the client computing device; determining, by the client computing device, whether the particular digital coupon is permitted to be applied with the particular provider based, at least in part, on one or more data fields included in the particular digital coupon; and presenting, by the client computing device and in response to determining that the particular digital coupon is permitted to be applied with the particular provider, the particular digital coupon to the point of sale computing device. - View Dependent Claims (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11)

12. A computer-implemented method comprising:

receiving, at a point of sale computing device, instructions to apply a coupon to a transaction with a customer with a client computing device; accessing, by a point of sale computing device, information from a digital coupon that is stored locally by the client computing device; determining, by the point of sale computing device, whether the digital coupon is permitted to be applied to the transaction based, at least in part, on one or more data fields included in the digital coupon; validating, by the point of sale computing device, the digital coupon based, at least in part, on the information accessed by the client computing device; and applying, by the point of sale computing device, the digital coupon to the transaction based, at least in part, on (i) the digital coupon being determined to be permitted to be applied to the transaction and (ii) the digital coupon being validated. - View Dependent Claims (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21)
