Abstract

A method of reporting a measurement performed by UE in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes: performing a measurement and obtaining a first measurement result; and generating information on a first measurement bandwidth related to the first measurement result and transmitting a measurement reporting message to a network. The measurement reporting message includes the first measurement result and the information on the first measurement bandwidth. The information on the first measurement bandwidth is information related to a measurement bandwidth regarding the first measurement result.

Claims

1. A method of reporting measurement performed by user equipment in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:

obtaining a first measurement result by performing measurement;

generating first measurement bandwidth information related to the first measurement result; and

sending a measurement report message to a network,

wherein the measurement report message comprises the first measurement result and the first measurement bandwidth information, and

the first measurement bandwidth information comprises information related to a measurement bandwidth for the first measurement result.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the first measurement bandwidth information indicates whether the measurement performed in order to obtain the first measurement result is wideband measurement or narrowband measurement.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein:

if the measurement bandwidth for the first measurement result is greater than a specific threshold bandwidth, the first measurement bandwidth information indicates the wideband measurement, and

if the measurement bandwidth for the first measurement result is smaller than the specific threshold bandwidth, the first measurement bandwidth information indicates the narrowband measurement.

4. The method of claim 3, wherein the specific threshold bandwidth comprises a bandwidth corresponding to six resource blocks.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising obtaining a second measurement result by performing measurement, wherein the measurement report message further comprises the second measurement result.

6. The method of claim 5, further comprising generating second measurement bandwidth information related to the second measurement result, wherein the measurement report message further comprises the second measurement bandwidth information.

7. The method of claim 6, further comprising generating second measurement bandwidth information related to the second measurement result if a serving cell of the UE when obtaining the second measurement result is different from a serving cell of the UE when obtaining the first measurement result, wherein the measurement report message further comprises the second measurement bandwidth information.

The method of claim 5, further comprising generating second measurement bandwidth information related to the second measurement result if a measurement bandwidth for the second measurement result is different from the measurement bandwidth for the first measurement result, wherein the measurement report message further comprises the second measurement bandwidth information.

9. A wireless apparatus operating in a wireless communication system operation, comprising:

a radio frequency (RF) unit that sends and receives radio signals; and

a processor that is functionally coupled to the RF unit and operates, wherein the processor is configured to;

obtain a first measurement result by performing measurement;

generate first measurement bandwidth information related to the first measurement result; and

send a measurement report message to a network,

wherein the measurement report message comprises the first measurement result and the first measurement bandwidth information, and

the first measurement bandwidth information comprises information related to a measurement bandwidth for the first measurement result.
