DISPLAY UNIT WITH TOUCH DETECTION FUNCTION AND ELECTRONIC UNIT
First Claim
1. A display unit comprising:
- a plurality of pixel electrodes arranged on a substrate;
at least one pixel signal line configured for connection to the pixel electrodes;
a plurality of touch detection electrodes;
a source driver configured to apply at least one pixel signal to the pixel signal line;
a touch detection section configured to detect a touch event based on a detection signal that is output from the touch detection electrodes during a touch detection time period that is distinct from a display time period during which the pixel signal is supplied to the pixel electrodes;
a switch configured to switch an electrical connection between the source driver and the pixel signal line,wherein the switch causes the pixel electrodes to be in a floating state during the touch detection time period by disconnecting the pixel signal line from the source driver.

Abstract
A display unit with touch detection function includes a plurality of pixel signal lines each transmitting a pixel signal for display; a pixel signal line drive section applying the pixel signal to each of the pixel signal lines; display elements each performing display based on the pixel signal; touch detection electrodes each outputting a detection signal based on a change in capacitance occurring due to an external proximity object; and a touch detection section detecting, in a touch detection period, a touch event based on the detection signal, the touch detection period being different from a display period for the display elements to perform display operation. The pixel signal line drive section maintains a voltage of each of the pixel signal lines at a certain level during the touch detection period.
