Abstract

The present invention is a handheld illuminated toy with applied printed shrink wrap paper and printed shrink wrap paper protectors, as well as a method of production for said toy. The invention integrates several unique features to help protect, cover, and guard the edges of printed shrink wrap paper from being torn and peeled back. The invention also claims the method of production for applying printed shrink wrap paper to manufactured items.

Claims

1. A handheld toy comprising of:

a. At least one handle;

b. At least one LED light;

c. At least one element attached or removably attached to the handle;

d. At least one voltage switching mechanism;

e. At least one power source;

f. At least one printed shrink paper; and

g. At least one printed shrink paper cover.

2. The invention of claim 1 wherein the at least one element comprises in whole or in part, at least one of the following:

a tubular element, moon shaped element, star, disc shaped element, wand, sword, handgun shaped element, round ball shaped element.

3. The invention of claim 1 wherein the at least one power source is supplied by at least one battery.

4. The invention of claim 1 whereby the at least one handle further comprises at least one battery compartment.

5. The invention of claim 3 wherein the at least one battery is housed within a battery compartment.

6. The invention of claim 5 wherein the battery compartment is further comprised of terminal coils for the conduction and transfer of voltage throughout a circuit.

7. The invention of claim 5 wherein the battery compartment is further comprised of a battery cover plate.

8. The invention of claim 7 wherein the battery cover plate is further comprised of a metal plate for the conduction and transfer of electrical current to at least one LED light that is attached to the outside of the battery cover plate.

9. The Invention of claim 6 wherein the voltage passes through, and powers, the at least one LED light, which is part of the circuit and is wired in parallel or series configuration.

10. The invention of claim 3 wherein the at least one battery compartment is further comprised of an internal battery wall that prevents the at least one battery from at least partially coming into contact with one another.

11. The invention of claim 1 wherein the at least one handle integrates a wire tunnel that serves as a conduit for the electrical components that transfer voltage to and from the at least one battery and the at least one LED light.

12. The invention of claim 1 wherein the at least one handle integrates at least one LED light that is connected to, and activated on and off by, the at least one voltage switching mechanism which opens and closes the electrical circuit that passes through the at least one LED light.

13. The invention of claim 12 wherein the at least one voltage switching mechanism has the ability to activate a multitude of lighting options, comprising at least one of the following or a combination of at least two of the following in whole or in part:

all lights together on or off, a blinking pattern, at least one color blinking pattern, a chasing pattern, an alternating pattern, or a color changing series option, with each light and color and work in synchronization with at least one other light and color, or individually.

14. The invention of claim 13 wherein the color changing series option is comprised further of at least one color, multicolor, red, green, blue, white, purple, and pink, or any available LED color.

15. The invention of claim 2 wherein the at least one LED light, when activated, at least partially illuminates the at least one handle or the tubular element, or any other elements, attached to or extending from the handle.

16. The invention of claim 2 wherein the at least one LED light, is housed within, or secured onto, the at least one handle, the tubular element, or any additional elements which extend therefrom.

17. The invention of claim 1 wherein the at least one element is a coiled, rolled, folded, or shaped thin plastic sheet or fiber optic material forming a cylindrical, tubular, or multi-sided shape with an inner diameter that fits into or onto, and is secured against, within, or over, the at least one handle.

18. The invention of claim 17 wherein the at least one element incorporates reflective material that is placed within the at least one element.

19. The invention of claim 18 wherein the reflective material is made from PVC material, piping material, or fiber optics material, such as TPR, TPU, PP, PVC, HDPE, BS, PC, GPPS, ABS or PS.

20. The invention of claim 18 wherein the reflective material placed within the at least one element increases and radiates the omni-directional illumination provided by the at least one LED light throughout the at least one element.

21. The invention of claim 1 wherein the at least one voltage switching mechanism is a centrifugal or mechanical switch.

22. The invention of claim 21 further comprising a circuit, and said circuit comprises at least one of the following:

a. A microprocessor;

b. An analog circuit;

c. A digital circuit;

or

d. A means for switching at least one voltage to at least one setting.

23. The invention of claim 21 wherein the at least one voltage switching mechanism opens and closes an electrical circuit that causes at least two LED lights to turn on and off.

24. The invention of claim 21 wherein the at least one voltage switching mechanism opens and closes an electrical circuit that causes at least one LED lights to blink, chase one another, alternate colors or cycle through a series of at least two colors either individually or in rhythmic synchronization with at least one other LED light or color.

25. The invention of claim 24 wherein one or all of the at least one LED light together, on or off, create a blinking pattern, at least one color blinking pattern, a chasing pattern, an alternating pattern, a color changing series option, or a combination of any or all of these patterns, with each light and color, working in synchronization with at least one other light and color, or individually.

26. The invention of claim 1 wherein the at least one printed shrink paper cover is removably attached and placed over, on top of, or around at least one edge of the at least one printed shrink paper to protect the at least one printed shrink paper from becoming attached, torn, or peeled back or away.

27. The invention of claim 26 wherein the at least one printed shrink paper cover is incorporated into or onto the at least one handle, the at least one element, or both.

28. The invention of claim 27 wherein the at least one printed shrink paper cover clamps down, screws onto, tightens or fastens around, or secures to the at least one handle, the at least one element, or both.

29. The invention of claim 27 wherein the at least one removably attached printed shrink wrap paper cover is comprised of two parts, one male and one female.

30. The invention of claim 28 wherein the one male and one female part are removable from one another and re-attachable to one another by fitting into one another or being fastened or secured to one another by means of additional hardware, such as screws or clamps, glue, or by means of direct tightening to the handle, tubular element, or any other element extending there from.

31. The invention of claim 1 wherein the at least one handle further comprises an element that protrudes and extends down from the bottom of the at least one handle.

32. The invention of claim 1 wherein the at least one handle further comprises a spherical orb element that protrudes and extends down from the bottom of the handle.

33. The invention of claim 32 wherein the spherical orb element is removably attached to the bottom of the battery cover.

34. The invention of claim 33 wherein the side of the battery cover which is removably attached to the spherical orb element includes at least one LED light that extends outwardly from the battery cover at a right angle and into the removably attached spherical orb element.

35. The invention of claim 34 wherein the at least one LED light that extends outwardly from the battery cover, when activated by the voltage switching mechanism, illuminates the spherical orb element that is removably attached to the bottom of the battery cover.

36. The invention of claim 33 wherein the spherical orb element that is removably attached to the bottom of the battery cover also serves as an access door to the battery compartment.

37. The invention of claim 1 wherein the at least one element is shaped as a blade, staff, tube, wand, star, or other multisided, uni-sided, or spherical shape.

38. The invention of claim 35 wherein the tubular element is constructed of PP, PVC, HDPE, BS, PC, GPPS, ABS or any material now known or later developed that is similar in substance or functionality.

39. Method for preparing, printing, cutting, adhering, and securing printed shrink paper to handheld toys comprising the following steps:

a. Load roll of printable shrink paper onto printer;

b. Prepare printer for printing including the installing of materials such as ink, blades, paper, and specially developed round cooper to create dye;

c. Calibrate or prepare machine for printing or cutting;

d. Engage machine to carry out all aspects of printing process including printing, cutting, rolling, and gluing of printable shrink paper;

e. Remove printed, rolled, glued, and cut shrink paper from the printer once complete;

f. If PVC is used for the element in part or in whole then;

i. Bring completed printed shrink paper to assembly line to apply to product;

ii. Place or slip appropriately sized rolled or glued shrink paper over, around, into, or onto element;

iii. Place or slip appropriately sized rolled and glued printed shrink paper over, around, or onto preassembled handle;

iv. Prepare element section by preparing and placing reflective paper inside blade;

v. Once shrink paper is place onto, around, or over both sections, the element and handle sections are heated;

vi. The handle and element are assembled together;

vii. Each fully assembled product,

viii. The printable shrink paper, shrink paper covers are placed onto the both ends of the handle, over the edges of the shrink paper;

ix. Then packaged.

g. If one of the following, HDPE, ABS, PC, GPPS, BS is used for the element then;

i. Bring completed printed shrink paper to assembly line to apply to product;

ii. Place or slip appropriately sized rolled or glued shrink paper over, around, into, or onto element;

iii. Place or slip appropriately sized rolled and glued printed shrink paper over, around, or onto preassembled handle;

iv. Prepare element section by preparing and placing reflective paper inside blade;

v. The handle and element are assembled together;

vi. Each fully assembled product is then heated, cooled,

vii. the printable shrink paper, shrink paper covers are placed onto the both ends of the handle, over the edges of the shrink paper;

viii. Then packaged.

40. Method of claim 39 wherein the individual heating of both the handle and the element further comprises the following additional steps:

a. The pre print-wrapped element of the handheld toy must be heated at a temperature per the chart below and rotated throughout the heating process for the duration of time per chart; and

b. The pre print-wrapped handle of the handheld toy must be heated at a temperature per the chart below for a duration of time per the chart below.

41. Method of claim 39 wherein the assembly of the handle to the blade also includes the insertion of at least one battery.

42. Method of claim 39 wherein the heating and duration of the element and handle further comprise the following additional steps when the element or the handle are made of PVC material between a thickness of 0.02 mm and 0.04 mm:

a. The element is heated at a temperature between 100 and 110 degrees Celsius for a duration of time between five and fifteen seconds while rotating; and

b. The handle is heated at a temperature between 110 and 130 degrees Celsius for a duration of time between five and twenty seconds.

43. Method of claim 39 wherein the heating and duration of the element and handle further comprise the following additional steps when the element or the handle are made of PE material between a thickness of 0.02 mm and 0.04 mm:

a. The element is heated at a temperature between 100 and 120 degrees Celsius for a duration of time between five and fifteen seconds while rotating; and

b. The handle is heated at a temperature between 120 and 180 degrees Celsius for a duration of time between five and twenty seconds.
