1. A golf club head comprising:
- a body portion having a toe portion, a heel portion, a top portion, a sole portion, and a face portion to engage a golf ball;
a plurality of grooves formed on the face portion and extending lengthwise between the toe portion and the heel portion, the plurality of grooves being substantially parallel to each other with each of the plurality of grooves having a groove width and a groove depth;
a plurality of first markings formed on the face portion and extending lengthwise between the toe portion and the heel portion, each of the plurality of first markings having a first marking width and a first marking depth; and
a plurality of second markings formed on the face portion and extending lengthwise between the top portion and the sole portion, each of the plurality of second markings having a second marking width and a second marking depth,wherein the plurality of second markings intersect with at least one of the plurality of grooves and at least one of the plurality of first markings,wherein the groove width is greater than each of the first and second marking widths, andwherein the groove depth is greater than each of the first and second marking depths.

a body portion having a toe portion, a heel portion, a top portion, a sole portion, and a face portion having an impact area to engage a golf ball; at least one groove associated with a groove width and a groove depth and formed in the impact area, the at least one groove extending lengthwise between the toe portion and the heel portion; at least one first marking associated with a first marking width and a first marking depth and formed in the impact area, the at least one first marking extending generally in the same direction as the at least one groove; and at least one second marking associated with a second marking width and a second marking depth and formed in the impact area, the at least one second marking extending lengthwise in a direction generally transverse to the at least one groove and the at least one first marking, wherein the at least one second marking intersects with the at least one groove and the at least one first marking, wherein the groove width is greater than each of the first marking width and the second marking width, and wherein the groove depth is greater than each of the first marking depth and the second marking depth. - View Dependent Claims (11, 12, 13, 14, 15)
