1. An LED light fixture comprising:
- at least one optical transceiver comprising at least one location identifier, the optical transceiver further comprising;
a light support having at least one light emitting diode light unit comprising a plurality of light emitting diodes and at least one photodetector attached thereto, said plurality of light emitting diodes generating light as illumination, said illumination comprising a plurality of flashes of illumination, said flashes of illumination being at a frequency which is not observable to the unaided eyes of an individual; and
a processor in communication with the light emitting diode light unit and the at least one photodetector, the processor constructed and arranged to regulate said plurality of flashes of illumination to generate at least one communication signal or data transfer embedded within said illumination,said at least one optical transceiver further comprising a lens proximate to said at least one light emitting diode.
