Abstract

Embodiments relate to methods and systems for providing specific GUIs based on real-time data and projected data, such as for management of financial resources in view of future resource forecasts. In an embodiment, a method comprises receiving, electronically by a processor, user data comprising financial source data, income data and expenses data. The method also comprises determining, electronically by the processor, spendable resources based on the received user data. The method also comprises receiving, electronically by the processor, user inputs via an interactive interface of a user device comprising desired expense information. The method further comprises determining, electronically by the processor, an impact of the desired expense information on the spendable resources. And the method also comprises causing to be displayed, electronically by the processor, content associated with the impact on the user device.

Claims

1. A system comprising:

a receiver configured to receive user data via a user device associated with a user;

a computer memory; and

a computer processor operatively coupled to the receiver and the computer memory, wherein the computer processor is configured to cause the system to perform the following operations;

receive the user data, wherein the user data comprises at least one of financial source data, income data or expenses data;

determine spendable resources based on the received user data;

receive user inputs via an interactive interface of the user device comprising desired expense information;

determine an impact of the desired expense information on the spendable resources; and

cause to be displayed content associated with the impact on the user device.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the income data further comprises at least one income amount and associated date(s) and frequency.

3. The system of claim 1, wherein the spendable resources further comprise an amount left until a time of a next income.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein the spendable resources further comprise an amount left in a current time period.

5. The system of claim 1, wherein the desired expense information further comprises an expense amount and an associated date for spending the expense amount.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein the processor is further configured to cause the system to:

enable the user of the user device to set up an application by entering the user data via the user device.

7. The system of claim 1, wherein the expenses data further comprises at least one recurring expense amount and associated date(s) and frequency.

8. The system of claim 1, wherein the financial source data further comprises information about at least one funding source where a user has at least one account with associated balances.

9. The system of claim 8, wherein the processor is further configured to cause the system to:

enable a user to choose at least one account to set up an application on the user device.

10. The system of claim 8, wherein the processor is further configured to cause the system to:

determine an impact of the desired expense information on the spendable resources based on an available balance associated with the at least one account minus future expenses plus future income in a certain period of time.

11. The system of claim 1, wherein the interactive interface is displayed on a portion of the user device, and is configured to prompt a user to enter a dollar amount and a date on which the dollar amount is to be spent.

12. The system of claim 11, wherein the processor is further configured to cause the system to:

calculate affordability associated with the desired expense information based on the dollar amount and the date on which the dollar amount is to be spent.

13. The system of claim 1, wherein the processor is further configured to cause the system to:

display, via the user device, an updated spendable amount reflecting how the desired expense information affects the spendable resources within a period of time.

14. The system of claim 1, wherein the processor is further configured to cause the system to:

determine affordability of the desired expense information, wherein an updated amount reflecting an effect of the desired expense information on the spendable resources indicates whether the desired expense information is or is not affordable, or that the desired expense information is affordable at a later time.

15. A method comprising:

receiving, electronically by a processor, user data comprising financial source data, income data and expenses data;

determining, electronically by the processor, spendable resources based on the received user data;

receiving, electronically by the processor, user inputs via an interactive interface of a user device comprising desired expense information;

determining, electronically by the processor, an impact of the desired expense information on the spendable resources; and

causing to be displayed, electronically by the processor, content associated with the impact on the user device.

16. The method of claim 15, further comprising:

displaying, via a display of the user device, a balance of the spendable resources according to one or more time frames.

17. The method of claim 16, wherein the one or more time frames further comprise a time until a next income or a time left in a current period of time.

18. The method of claim 15, wherein the desired expense information further comprises an amount and a date of a desired expenditure, wherein the method further comprises calculating affordability of the desired expenditure.

19. The method of claim 15 further comprising receiving the user inputs via the interactive interface implemented by a keyboard, a keypad, a touchscreen, RFID, NFC, a camera, a scanner, a reader, or a biometric input.

20. A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising executable modules which, in response to execution by a computer system, cause the computer system to perform a method comprising:

receiving user data comprising financial source data, income data and expenses data;

determining spendable resources based on the received user data;

receiving user inputs via an interactive interface of a user device comprising desired expense information;

determining an impact of the desired expense information on the spendable resources; and

causing to be displayed content associated with the impact on the user device.
