Abstract

Methods and systems are disclosed herein for determining a biometric state of a user or an emotional state of a user. Based on the determined biometric state or emotional state, a determination is made whether information about a location is restricted. In response to determining that information about a location is restricted, a portion of the information about the location is identified, and access to the portion of the information is disabled.

Claims

1. A method of restricting access to content based on biometric conditions of a user, the method comprising:

determining, using control circuitry, a biometric state of a user;

cross-referencing, using the control circuitry, the biometric state of the user with a database to determine whether the biometric state of the user causes information about a location to be restricted;

in response to determining that the biometric state of the user causes information about the location to be restricted, identifying, using the control circuitry, a portion of the information that is restricted; and

disabling, using the control circuitry, access to the portion of the information that is restricted.

The method of claim 1, wherein determining the biometric state of the user further comprises determining an emotional state of the user, and wherein cross-referencing the biometric state of the user with the database to determine whether the biometric state of the user causes information about the location to be restricted further comprises cross-referencing the emotional state of the user with the database to determine whether the emotional state of the user causes information about the location to be restricted.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the biometric state comprises one of a heart rate, pulse, blood oxygen level, body temperature, and brain activity.

4. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

identifying a portion of the information that is not restricted; and

in response to a user request for available information about the location, generating for display the portion of the information that is not restricted.

5. The method of claim 4, wherein the portion of the information that is restricted relates to geographical coordinates.

6. The method of claim 4, wherein disabling access to the portion of the information that is restricted further comprises filtering data provided to the user.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein identifying the portion of the information that is restricted, further comprises:

receiving criteria for the portion of the information that is restricted;

comparing the information about the location to the criteria.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the portion of the information that is restricted is based at least in part on a current time of day.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein the portion of the information that is restricted is based at least in part on a current location of the user.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein the portion of the information that is restricted is based at least in part on a likelihood that the user may reach the location given the biometric state of the user.

11. A system of restricting access to content based on biometric conditions of a user, the system comprising:

detecting circuitry configured to determine a biometric state of a user; and

control circuitry configured to;

cross-reference the biometric state of the user with a database to determine whether the biometric state of the user causes information about a location to be restricted;

identify a portion of the information that is restricted, in response to determining that the biometric state of the user causes information about the location to be restricted; and

disable access to the portion of the information that is restricted.

12. The system of claim 11, wherein the control circuitry is further configured to:

determine an emotional state of the user, and

cross-reference the biometric state of the user with the database to determine whether the biometric state of the user causes information about the location to be restricted further by cross-referencing the emotional state of the user with the database to determine whether the emotional state of the user causes information about the location to be restricted.

13. The system of claim 11, wherein the biometric state comprises one of a heart rate, pulse, blood oxygen level, body temperature, and brain activity.

14. The system of claim 11, wherein the control circuitry is further configured to:

identify a portion of the information that is not restricted; and

generate for display, the portion of the information that is not restricted, in response to a user request for available information about the location.

15. The system of claim 14, wherein the portion of the information that is restricted relates to geographical coordinates.

16. The system of claim 14, wherein the control circuitry is configured to disable access to the portion of the information that is restricted further by filtering data provided to the user.

17. The system of claim 11, wherein the control circuitry is configured to identify the portion of the information that is restricted by:

receiving criteria for the portion of the information that is restricted; and

comparing the information about the location to the criteria.

18. The system of claim 11, wherein the portion of the information that is restricted is based at least in part on a current time of day.

19. The system of claim 11, wherein the portion of the information that is restricted is based at least in part on a current location of the user.

20. The system of claim 11, wherein the portion of the information that is restricted is based at least in part on a likelihood that the user may reach the location given the biometric state of the user.
