Abstract

In an example embodiment, availability of a first user mobile device to broadcast real-time streaming live media content generated by the first user mobile device is detected. A second user mobile device is identified. Then an acceptance by the second user mobile device to receive the real-time streaming live media content from the first user mobile device is detected. In response to the acceptance, transmission of the real-time streaming live media content provided by the first user mobile device to the second user mobile device is initiated. An indication of positive feedback is received from the second user mobile device regarding the real-time streaming live media content. The positive feedback from the second user mobile device and other user mobile devices is tracked, and an indication of tracked positive feedback regarding the real-time streaming live media content is provided to a third user mobile device.

Claims

1. A method, comprising:

detecting availability of a first user mobile device to broadcast real-time streaming live media content generated by the first user mobile device over a communication network;

identifying, using at least one processor, a second user mobile device;

determining an acceptance by the second user mobile device to receive the real-time streaming live media content from the first user mobile device;

in response t the acceptance, initiating transmission of the real-time streaming live media content provided by the first user mobile device over the communication network to the second user mobile device;

receiving an indication of positive feedback from the second user mobile device regarding the real-time streaming live media content;

tracking positive feedback regarding the real-time streaming live media content from the second user mobile device and other user mobile devices; and

providing an indication of the tracked positive feedback regarding the real-time streaming live media content to a third user mobile device.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the positive feedback includes an indication that a “

like”

link has been selected by a user.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the positive feedback includes positive terms used via a “

comment”

link by a user.

4. The method of claim 1 wherein the positive feedback is written.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the positive feedback is verbal as recorded in audio.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the positive feedback is entered via a social network service.

7. The method of claim 1, further comprising displaying a user interface contains indications of relationships between the user of the first user mobile device and other users in the social network service.

8. A first user mobile device comprising:

a computer-readable medium having instructions stored thereon, which, when executed by a processor, cause the system to;

detect availability of the first user mobile device to broadcast real-time streaming live media content generated by the first user mobile device over a communication network;

identify, using at least one processor, a second user mobile device;

determine an acceptance by the second user mobile device to receive the real-time streaming live media content from the first user mobile device;

in response to the acceptance, initiate transmission of the real-time streaming live media content provided by the first user mobile device over the communication network to the second user mobile device;

receive an indication of positive feedback from the second user mobile device regarding the real-time streaming live media content;

track positive feedback regarding the real-time streaming live media content from the second user mobile device and other user mobile devices; and

provide an indication of the tracked positive feedback regarding the real-time streaming live media content to a third user mobile device.

9. The first user mobile device of claim 8, wherein the positive feedback includes an indication that a “

like”

link has been selected by a user.

10. The first user mobile device of claim 8, wherein the positive feedback includes positive terms used on a “

comment”

link by a user.

11. The first user mobile device of claim 8 wherein the positive feedback is written.

12. The first user mobile device of claim 8, wherein the positive feedback is verbal as recorded in audio.

13. The first user mobile device of claim 8, wherein the positive feedback is entered via a social network service.

14. The first user mobile device of claim 8, wherein the instructions, when executed on by the processor, further cause the processor to:

display a user interface contains indications of relationships between the user of the first user mobile device and other users in the social network service.

15. A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium comprising instructions that, when executed by at least one processor of a machine, cause the machine to perform operations comprising:

detecting availability of a first user mobile device to broadcast real-time streaming live media content generated by the first user mobile device over a communication network;

identifying, using at least one processor, a second user mobile device;

determining an acceptance by the second user mobile device to receive the real-time streaming live media content from the first user mobile device;

in response to the acceptance, initiating transmission of the real-time streaming live media content provided by the first user mobile device over the communication network to the second user mobile device;

receiving an indication of positive feedback from the second user mobile device regarding the real-time streaming live media content;

tracking positive feedback regarding the real-time streaming live media content from the second user mobile device and other user mobile devices; and

providing an indication of the tracked positive feedback regarding the real-time streaming live media content to a third user mobile device.

16. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15, wherein the positive feedback includes an indication that a “

like”

link has been selected by a user.

17. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15, wherein the positive feedback includes positive terms used on a “

comment”

link by a user.

18. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15 wherein the positive feedback is written.

19. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15, wherein the positive feedback is verbal as recorded in audio.

20. The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 15, wherein the positive feedback is entered via a social network service.
