1. A curved liquid crystal display (LCD) device, comprising:
- first and second substrates having curved surfaces along a first direction;
first and second alignment layers on inner surfaces of the first and second substrates, respectively;
a liquid crystal layer between the first and second alignment layers; and
a seal pattern in an edge area surrounding the liquid crystal layer between the first and second substrates,wherein the first and second alignment layers have an alignment direction substantially parallel with the first direction to orient liquid crystal molecules of the liquid crystal layer.
