Abstract

A respiratory mask includes a frame and a mask releasably engaged with the frame. The mask includes a body portion defining a mask internal space and a sealing portion structured to engage a patient'"'"'s face. The body portion includes a plurality of outlet openings for gas washout.

Claims

1. A respiratory mask, comprising:

a frame; and

a mask releasably engaged with the frame, the mask including a body portion defining a mask internal space and a sealing portion structured to engage a patient'"'"'s face,

wherein the body portion includes a plurality of outlet openings for gas washout.

2. The respiratory mask according to claim 1, wherein the body portion is integral with the sealing portion.

3. The respiratory mask according to claim 1, wherein the body portion and the sealing portion include a one-piece structure.

4. The respiratory mask according to claim 1, wherein the frame supports the sealing portion jointly with the body portion.

5. The respiratory mask according to claim 1, wherein the body portion and the sealing portion are provided as an integral component structured to be releasably engaged with the frame.

6. The respiratory mask according to claim 1, further comprising a respiratory gas conduit member structured to connect to a respiratory gas conduit to feed respiratory gas to the internal space.

7. The respiratory mask according to claim 6, wherein the respiratory gas conduit member is in the form of a tube connection.

8. The respiratory mask according to claim 6, wherein the frame includes a carrier portion structured to engage the respiratory gas conduit member.

9. The respiratory mask according to claim 1, wherein the frame has a front side and a rear side, and the frame defines an opening through which at least a portion of the body portion is exposed towards the front side of the frame.

10. The respiratory mask according to claim 9, wherein the plurality of outlet openings are exposed towards the front side of the frame.

11. The respiratory mask according to claim 1, wherein the frame includes a pair of slots structured to removably receive respective lower bands of headgear.

12. The respiratory mask according to claim 1, wherein the sealing portion includes an elastomeric material.

13. The respiratory mask according to claim 1, further comprising a forehead support provided to the frame.

14. The respiratory mask according to claim 13, wherein the forehead support includes a pair of slots structured to removably receive respective upper bands of headgear.
