Abstract

The present invention relates to a smart grid system and a method for distributing resources in the system. The smart grid system according to the present invention comprises at least one non-shiftable device; at least one controllable device; and at least one shiftable device; wherein price data are provided at each stage, the non-shiftable device is always provided with its resource requirements, the controllable device is provide with resources in the range of its resource requirements, and the shiftable device has its nominal resource requirements but not allowed to be provided with resources at the stage when resource price is highest.

Claims

1. A smart grid system comprising:

at least one non-shiftable device;

at least one controllable device; and

at least one shiftable device;

wherein price data are provided at each stage, the non-shiftable device is always provided with its resource requirements, the controllable device is provide with resources in the range of its resource requirements, and the shiftable device has its resource requirements but not allowed to be provided with resources at the stage when resource price is highest.

2. A resource distribution method of smart grid system, comprising steps for:

determining available resources based on price data; and

distributing the available resources differently to at least one device of a plurality of devices;

wherein considering priority, fairness, and cost, given weighting factors, respectively, in the distribution of the available resources, and the weighting factors being more than zero.

3. A resource distribution method of claim 2, further comprising steps for:

pre-specifying strategy set;

selecting optimal strategy in the pre-specified strategy set based on the priority given weighting factors, the fairness, and the cost; and

distributing the available resources to the devices by using the selected strategy.

4. A resource distribution method of claim 3, wherein the strategy is selected for each stage at which the price data is provided, and the selected strategy has the highest satisfaction level of resource usage of the devices at the corresponding stage.

A resource distribution method of claim 2, wherein the devices are classified into non-shiftable devices, controllable devices and shiftable devices, the priority is determined differently for each device, when distributing the available resources, the non-shiftable devices should be always provided with their resource requirements, and the shiftable devices are not provided with their resources at the stage when resource price is highest.

6. A resource distribution method of claim 2, further comprising steps for:

determining reserved resources for each device based on historical data including resource information used during previous stages;

comparing the determined reserved resources with resources required by the each device; and

classifying the devices based on the comparison results wherein the devices are classified into S-device with surplus resources if the determined reserved resources are more than the required resources, while the devices are classified into D-device with deficiency resources if the determined reserved resources are less than the required resources; and

performing bargaining process to distribute the surplus resources of the S-device to the D-device.

7. A resource distribution method of claim 6, further comprising steps for calculating resource bargaining unit (RBU) wherein the bargaining process is to distribute the surplus resources to the devices by the one RBU

8. A resource distribution method of claim 7, wherein the surplus resources are provided to the controllable D-devices by the one RBU, and then provided to the shiftable D-devices by the one RBU after all controllable D-devices have been satisfied.

9. A resource distribution method of claim 7, wherein the surplus resources are provided to the controllable D-devices after the surplus resources have been provided to all shiftable D-devices

10. A resource distribution method of claim 7, wherein the one RUB is provided to all D-shiftable devices after the one RUB is provided to all controllable D-devices, and then if the surplus resources remain, the one RUB is provided to all D-controllable devices again.

11. A resource distribution method of smart grid system, comprising steps for:

determining reserved resources for each device based on historical data including resource information used during previous stages;

comparing the determined reserved resources with resources required by the each device; and

classifying the devices based on the comparison results;

wherein the devices are classified into S-device with surplus resources if the determined reserved resources are more than the required resources, while the devices are classified into D-device with deficiency resources if the determined reserved resources are less than the required resources.

12. A resource distribution method of claim 11, further comprising steps for performing bargaining process to distribute the surplus resources of the S-device to the D-device.

13. A resource distribution method of claim 12, the bargaining process further comprising steps for:

pre-specifying strategy set;

selecting optimal strategy in the pre-specified strategy set based on the priority, the fairness, and the cost, given weighting factors, respectively; and

distributing the surplus resources to the D-devices by using the selected strategy;

wherein the weighting factors are more than zero.

14. A resource distribution method of claim 12, further comprising steps for calculating resource bargaining unit (RBU) wherein the bargaining process is to distribute the surplus resources to the devices by the one RBU

20. A resource distribution method of claim 12, wherein an optimal strategy is selected for each stage based on the priority, the fairness, and the cost, given weighting factors which are more than zero, respectively.

15. A resource distribution method of smart grid system, comprising steps for:

determining available resources based on price data at stage;

selecting an optimal strategy among the pre-specified strategies; and

distributing the determined available resources to devices according to the selected strategy;

wherein the price data are provided from stage to stage, the selected strategy has the highest satisfaction level of resource usage of the devices at the stage.

16. A resource distribution method of claim 16, wherein the devices are classified into non-shiftable devices which should be always provided with their resource requirements, controllable devices, and shiftable devices;

wherein surplus resources are distributed to the controllable devices and the shiftable devices with deficiency based on the priority, using the selected strategy, and it is determined that the surplus resources exist if resource requirements of the devices are less than the reserved resources which are calculated based on historical data used during previous stages.

17. A resource distribution method of claim 16, further comprising steps for calculating resource bargaining unit (RBU) wherein the surplus resources are distributed to the devices by the calculated one RBU

18. A resource distribution method of claim 17, wherein the surplus resources are provided to the controllable D-devices after the surplus resources have been provided to all shiftable D-devices

19. A resource distribution method of claim 17, wherein the one RUB is provided to all D-shiftable devices after the one RUB is provided to all controllable D-devices, and then if the surplus resources remain, the one RUB is provided to all D-controllable devices again.
