79. A method of detecting at least eight different analytes from a small-volume biological sample within a short period of time, said method comprising:
-
Placing a biological sample in a reader assembly, wherein said reader assembly comprises a) a fluid transfer device, and b) a detection assembly configured to detect signals indicative of the presence of, or absence of, at least eight different analytes; Transferring portions of said biological sample within a pipette tip effective to divide said biological sample into a multiple portions at an initial time, wherein said multiple portions comprise at least eight separate portions of said biological sample; Detecting a signal indicative of the presence of, or absence of; a first analyte in the biological sample by a first time; a second analyte in the biological sample by a second time; a third analyte in the biological sample by a third time; a fourth analyte in the biological sample by a fourth time; a fifth analyte in the biological sample by a fifth time; a sixth analyte in the biological sample by a sixth time; a seventh analyte in the biological sample by a seventh time; and an eighth analyte in the biological sample by an eighth time; Wherein the period of time between said initial time and the latest of said first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth times comprises a short period of time; Whereby at least eight different analytes are detected from a small-volume biological sample within a short period of time. - View Dependent Claims (80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92)
