Abstract

An I/O device, an I/O program, and an I/O method that can add a sense of distance from the position of visually recognizing eyes to a stereoscopic image that is a virtual image, through an object that is a real image and provide visual recognition as if the stereoscopic image were associated with the object are provided. An I/O device of the present invention includes a display device that can generate a stereoscopic image, a depth level sensor that measures a distance to an object, and an event generating unit that generates an event according to a mode of the object at least either in a stereoscopic region of the stereoscopic image generated by the display device or in a depth level detection region of the depth level sensor.

Claims

1. An I/O device comprising:

a display device that can generate a stereoscopic image;

a depth level sensor that measures a distance to an object; and

an event generating unit that generates an event according to a mode of the object at least either in a stereoscopic region of the stereoscopic image generated by the display device or in a depth level detection region of the depth level sensor.

2. The I/O device according to claim 1, wherein the event generating unit includes a shadow displaying unit that displays a shadow of the object in the depth level detection region.

3. The I/O device according to claim 2, wherein the shadow displaying unit includes a shadow changing unit that changes the shadow of the object according to a motion of the object in a depth level direction.

4. The I/O device according to claim 1, wherein the event generating unit includes a surrounding changing unit that changes a display surrounding the object in a common region of the stereoscopic region and the depth level detection region.

5. The I/O device according to claim 1, wherein the event generating unit includes a notifying unit that gives notification that the object exists in the common region of the stereoscopic region and the depth level detection region or in the depth level detection region.

6. The I/O device according to claim 1, wherein the display device is a head-mount display device.

7. An I/O program comprising:

a display process of generating a stereoscopic image;

a depth level sensor process of measuring a distance to an object; and

an event generation process of generating an event according to a mode of the object at least either in a stereoscopic region of the stereoscopic image generated in the display process or in a depth level detection region in the depth level sensor process.

8. The I/O program according to claim 7, wherein the event generation process includes a shadow display process of displaying a shadow of the object in the depth level detection region.

9. The I/O program according to claim 8, wherein the shadow display process includes a shadow change process of changing the shadow of the object according to a motion of the object in a depth level direction.

10. The I/O program according to claim 7, wherein the event generation process includes a surrounding change process of changing display surrounding the object in a common region of the stereoscopic region and the depth level detection region.

11. The I/O program according to claim 7, wherein the event generation process includes a notification process of giving notification that the object exists in the common region of the stereoscopic region and the depth level detection region or in the depth level detection region.

12. An I/O method comprising:

a display step of generating a stereoscopic image;

a depth level sensor step of measuring a distance to an object; and

an event generation step of generating an event according to a mode of the object at least either in a stereoscopic region of the stereoscopic image generated in the display step or in a depth level detection region in the depth level sensor step.

13. The I/O method according to claim 12, wherein the event generation step includes a shadow display step of displaying a shadow of the object in the depth level detection region.

14. The I/O method according to claim 13, wherein the shadow display step includes a shadow change step of changing the shadow of the object according to a motion of the object in a depth level direction.

15. The I/O method according to claim 12, wherein the event generation step includes a surrounding change step of changing display surrounding the object in a common region of the stereoscopic region and the depth level detection region.

16. The I/O method according to claim 12, wherein the event generation step includes a notification step of giving notification that the object exists in the common region of the stereoscopic region and the depth level detection region or in the depth level detection region.
