1. A control method for a host vehicle having adaptive cruise control (ACC), the control method comprising:
- selecting a lane or another vehicle as a target lane or a target vehicle for the ACC according to selection of a driver;
when the lane is selected, controlling the ACC to cause the host vehicle to travel in the selected target lane; and
when the other vehicle is selected, controlling the ACC to cause the host vehicle to follow the selected target vehicle,wherein the controlling includes changing the lane when the target lane or a lane of the target vehicle does not correspond to a lane of the host vehicle.
