- a biometric sensor coupled to an earphone configured to be worn in an ear of a user;
a movement monitoring module that monitors a movement to determine a metabolic loading associated with the movement during a score period;
a period activity score module that creates and updates a period activity score based on the metabolic loading and the movement, the period activity score created and updated for the score period; and
a smart activity score module that creates and updates a smart activity score by aggregating a set of period activity scores.wherein at least one of the movement monitoring module, the period activity score module, and the smart activity score module is embodied in the sensor.
