Abstract

Data communications systems and methods comprise a conductive media infrastructure in communication with a plurality of data universes including at least one baseband data universe and at least one broadband data universe. Exemplary embodiments include a coupling device coupling the baseband data universe and the broadband data universe to the conductive media infrastructure which includes a plurality of nodes. The coupling device provides a baseband construction mode in which the coupling device may generate baseband data signals onto the conductive media infrastructure and may induce the broadband data signals onto the conductive media infrastructure. In baseband construction mode there is a limited perspective in which one or more nodes are inhibited from receiving a strategically segmented subset of secure data signals and a strategic perspective in which one or more nodes receive the strategically segmented subset of secure data signals over a period of time. A segmentation device is in communication with the coupling device and partitions the broadband data universe from the baseband data universe such that each data universe is independently isolated from every other data universe and a virtual firewall of security among the data universes is created.

Claims

1. A data management system comprising:

a plurality of data universes communicating data, including;

at least one baseband data universe propagating secure baseband data signals;

at least one broadband data universe propagating secure broadband data signals;

a coupling device coupling the baseband data universe and the broadband data universe to a conductive media infrastructure including a plurality of nodes, the coupling device providing;

a baseband preservation mode in which the baseband data signals are naturally occurring on the conductive media infrastructure and the coupling device may induce the broadband data signals onto the conductive media infrastructure; and

a baseband construction mode in which the coupling device may generate baseband data signals onto the conductive media infrastructure and may induce the broadband data signals onto the conductive media infrastructure; and

a segmentation device in communication with the coupling device, the segmentation device partitioning the broadband data universe from the baseband data universe such that each data universe is independently isolated from every other data universe, the segmentation device creating a virtual firewall of security among the data universes;

the segmentation device including a filter allowing preservation of a selected subset of data universes while propagating intended signal intelligence onto one or more intended data universes;

wherein in baseband construction mode there is a limited perspective in which one or more nodes are inhibited from receiving a strategically segmented subset of secure data signals and a strategic perspective in which one or more nodes receive the strategically segmented subset of secure data signals over a period of time.

2. The system of claim 1 wherein one or both of the baseband data universe and the broadband data universe are communicating bi-directionally via the conductive media infrastructure.

3. The system of claim 1 further comprising a shunt managing the filter.

4. The system of claim 3 further comprising a low-frequency bus in communication with at least one data universe;

wherein the shunt prevents a portion of secure data from reaching the low-frequency bus.

5. The system of claim 3 further comprising a broadband bus in communication with a low-frequency bus;

wherein the shunt prevents a portion of secure data on the low-frequency bus from reaching the broadband bus.

6. The system of claim 1 wherein the segmentation device allows multiple information types to reside within each data universe.

7. The system of claim 1 wherein in the strategic perspective the plurality of nodes are aligned in an ordered array such they combine to contain throughout the plurality of nodes the strategically segmented subset of secure data signals for a period of time.

8. The system of claim 1 wherein the secure baseband data signals include encoded security management data and the strategically segmented subset of secure data signals includes a strategically segmented subset of the encoded security management data.

9. The system of claim 8 wherein the encoded security management data includes one or more security keys and security key assignment information.

10. The system of claim 8 wherein the secure broadband data signals include one or more security algorithms.

11. The system of claim 9 wherein in the strategic perspective the strategically segmented subset of the encoded security management data contains information sufficient for allocating and managing assignment of the one or more security keys.

12. The system of claim 11 wherein the system uses the strategically segmented subset of the encoded security management data to manage assignment of the one or more security keys in real time including allocating the one or more security keys based on real-time authentication and real-time adaptive information across one or more of the plurality of data universes such that one or more sets of data are secure.

13. The system of claim 12 wherein the allocating the one or more security keys is based on the security key assignment information.

14. The system of claim 10 wherein in the strategic perspective the strategically segmented subset of the encoded security management data contains information sufficient for allocating and managing assignment of the one or more security keys;

and

wherein the allocating the one or more security keys is based on the security algorithms.

15. The system of claim 1 wherein one or more of the secure baseband data signals and secure broadband data signals comprise beacon alerts.

16. The system of claim 1 further comprising at least one sub-band within at least one of the plurality of data universes, the at least one sub-band containing different wave shapes.

17. The system of claim 16 wherein the at least one sub-band propagates encoded security management data.

18. The system of claim 1 further comprising at least one sub-band within at least one of the plurality of data universes, wherein the at least one sub-band distributes power.

19. The system of claim 18 wherein the at least one sub-band propagates encoded security management data.

20. The system of claim 1 further comprising a finite state machine in communication with at least one of the plurality of data universes.

21. The system of claim 1 wherein the one or more nodes constitute a closed system network.

22. The system of claim 21 wherein the secure baseband data signals consist of serial data and the secure broadband data signals comprise multiplexed network data.

23. The system of claim 22 wherein the serial data and the multiplexed network data reside on the conductive media infrastructure and are segregated from each other.

24. The system of claim 23 wherein the secure baseband data signals include encoded security management data and the strategically segmented subset of secure data signals includes a strategically segmented subset of the encoded security management data;

and

wherein the system uses the strategically segmented subset of the encoded security management data to manage security such that the serial data and the multiplexed network data are secure.

25. A method of providing secure communications, comprising:

sending data via a plurality of data universes including;

sending secure baseband data signals via at least one baseband data universe;

sending secure broadband data signals via at least one broadband data universe;

coupling the baseband data universe and the broadband data universe to a conductive media infrastructure including a plurality of nodes and having;

a baseband preservation mode in which the baseband data signals are naturally occurring on the conductive media infrastructure and the coupling device may induce the broadband data signals onto the conductive media infrastructure; and

a baseband construction mode in which the coupling device may generate baseband data signals onto the conductive media infrastructure and may induce the broadband data signals onto the conductive media infrastructure;

partitioning the broadband data universe from the baseband data universe such that each data universe is independently isolated from every other data universe, creating a virtual firewall of security among the data universes;

providing preservation of a selected subset of data universes while propagating intended signal intelligence onto an intended data universe; and

in baseband construction mode providing a limited perspective in which one or more nodes are inhibited from receiving a strategically segmented subset of secure data signals and a strategic perspective in which one or more nodes receive the strategically segmented subset of secure data signals over a period of time.

26. The method of claim 25 wherein in the strategic perspective the plurality of nodes are grouped together in a logical fashion such they combine to contain throughout the plurality of nodes the strategically segmented subset of secure data signals for a period of time.

27. The method of claim 25 wherein the secure baseband data signals include encoded security management data and the strategically segmented subset of secure data signals includes a strategically segmented subset of the encoded security management data.

28. The method of claim 27 wherein the encoded security management data includes one or more security keys and security key assignment information.

29. The method of claim 28 wherein in the strategic perspective the strategically segmented subset of the encoded security management data contains information sufficient for allocating and managing assignment of the one or more security keys.

30. The method of claim 29 further comprising using the strategically segmented subset of the encoded security management data to manage assignment of the one or more security keys in real time including allocating the one or more security keys based on real-time authentication and real-time adaptive information across one or more of the plurality of data universes such that one or more sets of data are secure.

31. The method of claim 25 further comprising a low-frequency bus in communication with at least one data universe;

and

further comprising preventing a portion of secure data in one or more of the plurality of data universes from reaching the low-frequency bus.

32. The method of claim 25 further comprising a broadband bus in communication with a low-frequency bus;

further comprising preventing a portion of secure data on the low-frequency bus from reaching the broadband bus.
