Calibration State Variable
First Claim
Patent Images
1. A first playback device of a media playback system, the first playback device comprising:
- one or more speakers;
a network interface;
one or more processors;
a data storage having stored therein instructions executable by the one or more processors to cause the playback device to perform operations comprising;
receiving, via the network interface, an indication that the first playback device is calibrated;
based on receiving the indication that the first playback device is calibrated, configuring a calibration state variable to indicate that the first playback device is calibrated;
detecting a trigger condition indicating that the first playback device has become uncalibrated; and
based on detecting the trigger condition indicating that the first playback device has become uncalibrated, updating the calibration state variable to indicate that the first playback device is uncalibrated and sending, via the network interface, an indication of the updated calibration state variable to a second device.

Abstract
An example implementation may involve receiving, via a network interface, an indication that the first playback device is calibrated. The implementation may also involve updating a calibration state variable to indicate that the first playback device is calibrated based on receiving the indication that the first playback device is calibrated. The implementation may further involve sending, via the network interface, an indication of the updated calibration state variable to a second device.

13. A first playback device of a media playback system, the first playback device comprising:
-
one or more speakers; a network interface; one or more processors; a data storage having stored therein instructions executable by the one or more processors to cause the playback device to perform operations comprising; receiving, via the network interface, an indication that the first playback device is calibrated; based on receiving the indication that the first playback device is calibrated, updating a calibration state variable to indicate that the first playback device is calibrated, wherein the calibration state variable is stored in the data storage; and sending, via the network interface, an indication of the updated calibration state variable to a second device. - View Dependent Claims (14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19)

20. A method comprising:
-
receiving, by a playback device of a media playback system, an indication that the first playback device is calibrated; based on receiving the indication that the playback device is calibrated, configuring a calibration state variable to indicate that the playback device is calibrated; detecting a trigger condition indicating that the playback device has become uncalibrated; and based on detecting the trigger condition indicating that the playback device has become uncalibrated, updating the calibration state variable to indicate that the playback device is uncalibrated and sending, via the network interface, an indication of the updated calibration state variable to a second device of the media playback system.
