Abstract

Aspects of the present invention relate to providing assistance to medical professionals during the performance of medical procedures through the use of technologies facilitated through a head-worn computer.

Claims

1. A head-worn computer, comprising:

a. A forward-facing camera adapted to capture images of an environment proximate the head-worn computer;

b. A processor adapted to cause the camera to capture an image of a body part of a medical patient, wherein the processor is further adapted to initiate a body part recognition process based on the image to verify that the body part is a correct body part for a scheduled medical procedure; and

c. The processor further adapted to display an indication that the body part is the correct body part for a scheduled medical procedure in a see-through display of the head-worn computer.

2. The head-worn computer of claim 1, wherein the body part recognition process is performed remote from the head-worn computer.

3. The head-worn computer of claim 1, wherein the body part recognition process is performed by the processor.

4. The head-worn computer of claim 1, further comprising an eye-imaging system adapted to verify an identity of a person wearing the head-worn computer to maintain confidential the displayed indication.

5. The head-worn computer of claim 4, wherein the person wearing the head-worn computer is verified as a medical professional.
