1. A gravity-fed aeroponic system for providing a mist of water to the roots of a plant, wherein the plant is within an aeroponic growth system, comprising:
- a base unit adjacent to a top surface of the aeroponic growth system, wherein the base unit includes a first water reservoir;
a top unit atop the base unit, thereby forming a channel for directing flow of a water mist towards roots of a plant;
a first mist generator, wherein the mist generator has operative access to the water of the first water reservoir and further wherein an output of the mist generator provides misted water to the channel; and
a controller electrically connected to input terminals of the mist generator wherein the controller provides an electrical signal to the mist generator causing the mist generator to generate mist.
