VIDEO-GAME CONSOLE FOR ALLIED TOUCHSCREEN MEDIA
First Claim
1. An interconnected system, by wire, wirelessly, or both, for controlling a running application in a video-game environment, at least comprising:
- a processing means for at least processing operations and game data;
a sensor means for at least sensing impartment to an input interface;
a display means for at least providing visual and/or tactile feedback;
a tweaked means for at least configuring operational and/or mapping assimilation;
a video-game device in operable communication with at least one of a native application serving as digital media, said display means and one or more controllers configured to transmit and/or receive signals in the execution of said native application resulting in game action;
wherein said native application is downloaded from an application repository and comprises a touchscreen mobile game application configured for native operation and/or control on said video-game device;
the one or more controllers comprising an input interface comprising a plurality of inputs native to the environment;
the plurality of inputs at least comprising one of one or more sensor inputs configured for detecting motion of the controller as a whole, one or more pressure sensors configured for detecting user applied pressure within the sensing range of said pressure sensor, a touch-sensitive surface configured for detecting the touch and/or the applied pressure, in conjunction with a pressure sensor, of at least the control input of one finger on said surface and at least one button member; and
an interactive system configured to impart, by mechanical and/or virtual impartment and under the direction of a linked mapping interface, game action to said application based on one or more inputs imparted to said one or more controllers by said user;
wherein upon an input of said input interface being an actuation of one or more of the sensors for detecting motion of the controller as a whole, said interactive system thereby operably mapping the motion-sensor inputs imparted to the controller into said game action when said motion is made;
wherein upon an input of said input interface being an actuation of a position on the touch-sensitive surface of said controller, said interactive system thereby operably mapping the positional actuation imparted to the controller into said game action when said surface input is made;
wherein upon an input of said input interface being a pressure-based gesture applied by said user to at least one position on the touch-sensitive surface, as detected by said pressure sensors, said interactive system thereby operably mapping the calculated pressure data being imparted to the controller into said game action when said pressure-based input is made;
wherein upon an input of said input interface being an actuation of one or more buttons of said controller, said interactive system thereby operably mapping the button input imparted to the controller into said game action when said button input is made; and
wherein there is no fixed position between said controller and said video-game device running said native application.

Abstract
The present invention seeks to introduce a new delivery system, interactive platform and controller compliment for an allied touchscreen media; with said media particularly comprising repository-sourced mobile game applications configured for native operation. Mapping systems are dynamic and include an interface for user manipulation of immersive, 3-D holographic imaging modalities to advance input in a video-game environment. A series of specialty-input controllers for interaction with said touchscreen media are also advanced by the inventor; including those designed for remote and mappable manipulation of an actionable sensor input where salient to the input dynamics of an engaged gaming title. A user worn artificial muscle interface that reacts to game events are also advanced by the inventor.

1. An interconnected system, by wire, wirelessly, or both, for controlling a running application in a video-game environment, at least comprising:

the plurality of inputs at least comprising one of one or more sensor inputs configured for detecting motion of the controller as a whole, one or more pressure sensors configured for detecting user applied pressure within the sensing range of said pressure sensor, a touch-sensitive surface configured for detecting the touch and/or the applied pressure, in conjunction with a pressure sensor, of at least the control input of one finger on said surface and at least one button member; andan interactive system configured to impart, by mechanical and/or virtual impartment and under the direction of a linked mapping interface, game action to said application based on one or more inputs imparted to said one or more controllers by said user; wherein upon an input of said input interface being an actuation of one or more of the sensors for detecting motion of the controller as a whole, said interactive system thereby operably mapping the motion-sensor inputs imparted to the controller into said game action when said motion is made; wherein upon an input of said input interface being an actuation of a position on the touch-sensitive surface of said controller, said interactive system thereby operably mapping the positional actuation imparted to the controller into said game action when said surface input is made; wherein upon an input of said input interface being a pressure-based gesture applied by said user to at least one position on the touch-sensitive surface, as detected by said pressure sensors, said interactive system thereby operably mapping the calculated pressure data being imparted to the controller into said game action when said pressure-based input is made; wherein upon an input of said input interface being an actuation of one or more buttons of said controller, said interactive system thereby operably mapping the button input imparted to the controller into said game action when said button input is made; and wherein there is no fixed position between said controller and said video-game device running said native application. - View Dependent Claims (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10)

11. An interconnected, by wire, wirelessly, or both, touchscreen input device and mapping system, at least comprising:

a communicable capacitive touchscreen user device comprising at least a display portion and processing means for processing application data and supporting at least a touchscreen device user interface and a running native application; one or more communicable hand-held touchscreen input devices at least comprising one or more pressure sensors and one or more angle sensors; wherein said hand-held touchscreen input device is movably attached to the touchscreen of said capacitive touchscreen user device during operation and upon said attachment said pressure and/or angle sensors are actuated and thereby the requisite pressure-and-angle data will be determined for the purpose of mapping to action by said system said movably attached touchscreen input; and wherein said action on said native application at least comprises visual and/or haptic feedback for user consumption in response to said touchscreen input.

12. An advanced pressure-sensor dependent controller system for a capacitive touchscreen input device, at least comprising:

a capacitive touchscreen input device allied to said media;
a touchscreen device user interface comprising an input means and/or feedback means related to controlling said actionable media;a display means for at least providing visual and/or tactile feedback; a processing means for at least processing operations and media data; a sensor means for at least sensing impartment to an input interface; an actuator means for at least said impartment; a haptic feedback means for at least said impartment; wherein said input device at least comprises a plurality of sensors;
said sensor plurality at least comprising one or more capacitive based touch screen panel sensors for operably sensing user touch on said input device and thereby establishing an input-modality constituent for operable mapping to action upon said sensing, one or more embedded motion sensors configured for operably sensing motion influence on said input device and thereby establishing an input modality constituent for operable mapping to action upon said sensing; and
one or more embedded pressure sensors for operably sensing metrics of pressure applied to the touchscreen surface by a user and thereby establishing an input modality constituent for operable mapping to action upon said sensing;wherein said action on said actionable media comprises at least one of visual, audio and vibrotactile feedback for user consumption in response to sensor manipulation by a user in accordance with an assigned mapping relationship; wherein user manipulation of at least one or more embedded pressure sensors results in haptically-coupled action comprising a haptic touch event and at least one visual feedback event on said display means;
said visual feedback event comprising at least one of a shortcut event, a right-click context functionality event adapted for touchscreen devices, a new-function event and a navigation event on said running application and based on said pressure-sensor input; andwherein said embedded pressure sensors are positioned to facilitate comprehensive coverage of all salient screen domain for sensing said pressure-sensor based input modality and represent an advanced user interface in extending a fixed position on a capacitive touchscreen involving said pressure sensors. - View Dependent Claims (13)

the plurality of inputs at least comprising one of one or more sensor inputs configured for detecting motion of the controller as a whole, a touch-sensitive surface configured for detecting the application of at least the control input of one or more fingers on said surface and one or more microphone sensors configured for detecting voice commands and one or more button members;an interactive system configured to impart, by mechanical and/or virtual impartment and under the direction of a linked mapping interface, game action to said native application running on said host device based on one or more inputs imparted to said controller by said user; wherein upon an input of said input interface being an actuation of one or more of the sensors for detecting motion of the controller as a whole, said interactive system to thereby operably map the motion-sensor inputs imparted to the controller into said game action when said motion is made; wherein upon an input of said input interface being an actuation of a position on the touch-sensitive surface of said controller, said interactive system to thereby operably map the positional actuation imparted to the controller into said game action when said surface input is made; wherein upon an input of said input interface being a voice-command actuated through an audio input means, said interactive system to thereby operably map the voice command imparted to the controller into said game action when said voice-command input is made; wherein upon an input of said input interface being an actuation of one or more buttons of said controller, said interactive system to thereby operably map the button input imparted to the controller into said game action when said button input is made; wherein said touch-sensitive surface comprises at least one of a touchscreen and touchpad for integrative input to said application; and wherein there is no fixed position between said controller and said host device running said native application. - View Dependent Claims (15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22)
