Abstract
Hygiene management systems are provided for managing hygiene compliance. In some embodiments, the hygiene systems can include video cameras to count people entering a managed room. Responsive to each detected entry a timer can be started by the system, which is reset by activation of hygiene stations (e.g., hand washing stations or sanitizer dispensers). If the timers expire without use of the hygiene stations, the system triggers visual and/or audible alarms to remind people to use the hygiene stations.
