Abstract

Sensor information is received from a set of sensors. First and second sets of machine monitoring data are generated from the sensor information. The first set of machine monitoring data is sent to a control system with a display in an operator compartment of a mobile machine. The second set of machine monitoring data is sent to a processing system that is separate from the control system.

Claims

2. The computer-implemented method of claim I wherein transmitting comprises:

transmitting the sensor data from the data store to the mobile device using a near field communication link.

3. The computer-implemented method of claim 2 wherein transmitting comprises:

transmitting the sensor data from the data store to the mobile device using a Bluetooth communication link.

4. The computer-implemented method of claim 3 wherein transmitting comprises:

transmitting the sensor data from the data store to a tablet computer using the Bluetooth communication link.

9-1. The agricultural machine of claim 17 and further comprising:

a cellular communication component, the tablet computer being configured to transmit the sensor data from the tablet computer to a remote system using the cellular communication component.

17. An agricultural machine, comprising:

a data processing system configured to receive, over a controller area network (CAN) bus, sensor data indicative of data sensed by a set of agricultural sensors;

a data store that stores the sensor data; and

a near field communication component that transmits the sensor data from the data store to a tablet computer over a Bluetooth communication link.

1. A computer-implemented method, comprising:

receiving, at a first agricultural machine, over a controller area network (CAN) bus, sensor data indicative of data sensed by a set of agricultural sensors;

storing the sensor data on a data store on the first agricultural machine; and

transmitting the sensor data from the data store to a mobile device using a first transmission link.

5. The computer-implemented method of claim 1 and further comprising:

generating a visualization of the sensor data on the mobile device; and

controlling a user interface component to display the visualization on the mobile device.

6. The computer-implemented method of claim 5 and further comprising:

transmitting the sensor data from the mobile device to a remote system using a second communication link.

7. The computer-implemented method of claim 6 wherein transmitting the sensor data from the mobile device to a remote system comprises:

transmitting the sensor data from the mobile device to a remote system using a cellular communication link.

8. The computer-implemented method of claim 6 wherein transmitting the sensor data from the mobile device to a remote system comprises:

transmitting the sensor data from the mobile device to a cloud-based remote system using the second communication link.

9. A first agricultural machine, comprising:

a data processing system configured to receive, over a controller area network CAN) bus, sensor data indicative of data sensed by a set of agricultural sensors;

a data store that stores the sensor data; and

a near field communication component that transmits the sensor data from the data store to a mobile device over a near field communication link.

10. The first agricultural machine of claim 9, wherein the set of agricultural sensors are deployed on a second agricultural machine.

11. The first agricultural machine of claim 9 wherein the near field communication component comprises:

a Bluetooth communication component.

12. The first agricultural machine of claim 9 wherein the mobile device comprises:

a tablet computer.

13. The first agricultural machine of claim 11 wherein the mobile device is configured to generate a visualization of the sensor data, and further comprising:

a user interface component configured to display the visualization on the mobile device.

14. The first agricultural machine of claim 11 and further comprising:

a second communication component, the mobile device being configured to transmit the sensor data from the mobile device to a remote system, over a second communication link, using the second communication component.

15. The first agricultural machine of claim 14 wherein the second transmission component comprises:

a cellular communication component.

16. The first agricultural machine of claim 14 wherein mobile device is configured to transmit the sensor data from the mobile device to a cloud-based remote system using the second communication component.

18. The agricultural machine of claim 17 and further comprising:

a user interface component configured to surface a visualization of the sensor data on the tablet computer.

20. The agricultural machine of claim 19 wherein the tablet computer is configured to transmit the sensor data from the tablet computer to a cloud-based remote system using the cellular communication component.
