Abstract
A method of controlling the operation of a mobile terminal is provided. By dynamically selecting or setting a specific function of a mobile terminal according to a change in pressure or contact areas sensed by a plurality of touch sensors which cover the mobile terminal, a user can easily select or set a specific function of the mobile terminal according to his or her intention, and easily recognize information displayed on a screen of the mobile terminal.

a liquid crystal display (LCD) including a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface; one or more opaque sensors located below the first surface of the LCD and adapted to detect capacitance corresponding to a pressure applied by an input with respect to the second surface of the LCD; and a controller electrically coupled with the LCD and the one or more opaque sensors, the controller configured to; determine whether the capacitance corresponding to the pressure satisfies a specified condition; perform a first specified function based at least in part on a determination that the capacitance does not satisfy the specified condition; and perform a second specified function based at least in part on a determination that the capacitance satisfies the specified condition. - View Dependent Claims (12, 13, 14, 15, 16)
