determine a specific absorption ratio value given to the user terminal;
receive information on the power level of signals at least one radio transceiver of a user terminal has received from one or more external transmitters;
determine information on the power level of the signals transmitted by the at least one radio transceiver of the user terminal;
determine information on the call connection and data transfer status of the user terminal;
receive information from one or more sensors of the user terminal;
determine an instantaneous value for the specific absorption ratio on the basis on the received and determined information and properties of the user terminal;
compare the instantaneous value to a predetermined threshold; and
control the voice call and data transfer capabilities of the user terminal on the basis of the comparison and the call connection and data transfer status of the user terminal.
